Finding the bow impossible to use in Episode 2...

So when all hell breaks loose towards the end of Episode 2 and the school grounds are overrun with burning walkers, I can't get the bow to shoot for the life of me.

And believe me, I have tried and tried to make this miracle happen. I can take aim by pressing the right button on the touchpad but when it comes to firing, the damn thing just doesn't want to co-operate with me. I've been forced to sit and watch helplessly as Clementine's throat is torn out more times than must be psychologically healthy for me and I'm getting desperate here.

Yup, I'm definitely holding down the aim button when I try to fire. Could it be the fact that I'm playing it on a touchpad laptop? I did try to reconfigure the controls but that doesn't seem to be an option with this game...

Considering it's unclear whether the Final Season will even see completion right now, this may actually be a fitting spot for the Walking Dead series to end for me. It adds an Inferno-esque sense of futility to the entire thing.

This is basically the only actual gameplay part in the game, kinda. Everything else is an interactive movie. Cleary shows the level of the player who manage to stuck here, even after several tries... Tne problem is the one who sitting in front of the monitor. :P

And I'm sure that I'd succeed just as easily as you. If the bow would shoot when I push the button. But it won't, so I can't and so I've come to this forum to ask for help in overcoming this technical difficulty.

I'm not sure how much clearer I can be about the problem.

I'm having the same issue. I have no problem aiming the bow with the right mouse button but the left button will not fire the arrow. I'm completely stuck because of buggy design and now it's extremely unlikely we'll see a patch to fix the issue.

So do you want the bad news or the good news?

The bad news is that I looked everywhere for a solution only to learn that this problem comes down to a hardware limitation. For some reason, it seems the right button flat-out can't be used simultaneously with the left button. And that's all there is to it.

So what's the good news? Well, you can always use a mouse as a substitute until the burning Walkers have been put on ice. I know it's far from ideal but hey, we make do with what we have during the zombie apocalypse.

I cannot pass the battle. I have been trying for over 1h and I can only kill 1 walker and that's it. If anyone wants to do it for me, I would be eternally grateful.

that bow scene in ep 2 sure was cool free playmode all new idea but still was pain off the ass aim system sucks! even i used xbox360 controller i died about 20 times 😫 i understa d Dev team tried something new ank ok but it was bad idea sorry to say• anyway all hail awesome skybound and their work to finish a story! even bow scene sucks their efford was not forgetton. even i dont fully like this i wont say it is bad neither.

It may be related to your computer. It worked brilliant on my computer, I passed it on the first try.
But on my wife's computer it was impossible. She ended up playing on mine and finished it up handily. We never figured out why, especially since she has a newer computer, but you're not alone. Maybe try updating your video drivers?

Ok, glad to see I'm not the only one having huge difficulties with this. I've died more times than I care to admit, and I feel I'm not even close to beating it any time soon... my best performance was killing two zombies and I understand you have to kill like 6. It's getting frustrating and I really need the story to move forward. I play TWD because I'm a huge adventure/point and click fan and even though I prefer no action at all, I found telltale quick time events fair and fun. However, this seems far too complicated for my skills. Does anyone volunteer to pass this part for me? I can send you my saved game and you can send it back right after this scene? I almost feel embarrassed to even ask, but I just suck at action scenes and I want to keep playing.

Well ... that's the "final battle" of the episode. So, you'd kinda be missing the finale and just getting the save files back for the next episode. I'd recommend copying the save files to a friends computer and trying it there. Chances are, you'll do fine. My wife isn't great at those events, and she did it the second try on my pc.

That said, if you'd like, I can finish it up on your save files. Let me know.

I had the same problem but in episode 3 I used the knife instead and it worked.
