Clem x romance forever:)
But, on second thought, there are something that makes me think twice: first, isn’t he too perfect to be a partner? He reminds me of Peter from the movie Taken 2008. Second, he looks sad, seeming to have a lot of secrets, apparently not the innocent kind. I don’t if he deserves Clem's trust.
Then Louis, at first, I don’t even think about that. He looks like a child himself! But as the game goes, he seems nice and grown-up enough, especially at the moment when he stood out for Clem encountering Marlot's (whatever the name is) gunpoint. And then I thought he might be good. He is funny and cute and know how to make people relax and happy. That's precious in a ruined world.
As for those who don’t want Clem to have a romance, I'm totally with you. I mean, Clem is always Lee's little daughter right? But sometimes when I look at Clem's distraught face when so many burdens were on her, when so many people were against her, isn’t that nice for her to have someone behind her back? To support her and share her feelings? If the apocalypse is so cruel, then love is what can soothe a tired heart.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I get where you're coming from, but in the world she lives in and with the responsibilities she currently has I don't think she can afford to get tied up in a romance. It's an unfortunate fact that in her world there will always be complications, and adding another layer of complexity to her life could very easily get her and AJ killed even if it's with the best of intentions. A split second of hesitation when your lover is in danger could very likely cause death for everyone involved.
AJ is already technically a liability to Clem, but there's no helping that since he's just a kid. Adding another emotional complication is asking for trouble if you ask me. Maybe after AJ has grown up and can take care of himself then there'd be time for Clem to pursue love but before that it's too much of a risk in my opinion.
I'm not saying that those who feel differently are wrong, just that it's not how I see it.
As for James in particular, he's too much of an unknown to really trust much. I trusted him when AJ was in critical condition because it was the best chance AJ had at survival, but we know very little about who he is. Time will tell whether or not he can be trusted.
