They wanted the cover art for the collection to flow, so everything had to be drawn in the same general style.

Priorities in America are a little messed up and with Play Station now wanting to censor everything that shows any skin I'm worried for the future of gaming since everyone in Japan would be afraid to make a cover or character like this because they wouldn't be able to sell on Play Station.
