Can we manually save our game when and where we want? Saving at the player's discretion has been a key feature of adventure games since the beginning with games from Infocom, Sierra Online, and LucasArts.

Well, that kind of sucks, especially for a point-and-click adventure game. I thought this would've been more like the classic Sierra Online or LucasArts adventure games, where you could save at your discretion and in fact, you were urged to "save early, save often" all the time.
