that was the second time that happend to me had one earlyer were i just finished the first dino wich i had to dig up again...kinda kills the fun in the game if you have to do most things twice cause saves dont work.
Upon some testing, it seems like it is a 100% failure if you save the game as a new save, and then ALT+F4 after is says save successful. If you save the game as a new save, with the thumbnail appearing as normal, and you quit to the main menu before closing the game, it seems to ALWAYS work, and the save WILL NOT disappear. When overriding an existing save, if the thumbnail DOES NOT turn into the white box and question mark, its possibly 50/50 if the save will be there upon relaunching the game.
In conclusion, It seems to be an issue with overriding saves, and/or using ALT+F4 to close the game after saving. Almost feels like two or more bugs and not just one with all the different methods of saving and closing the game.
Sure thing. I don't know if there are any currently broken that I haven't deleted, but I can create those if needed lol.
One year later, the problem persists. I lost 12 hours of gameplay! This is enough to make me never want to play this game again. It has become a trend to leave games buggy and move on to new releases and DLCs.
