Am i supposed to explore the empty space?
I seem to be stuck. Spoilers i guess.

I have found three of the jamming devices, but have no clue where the fourth is. I have enough keys to talk to the sentinels but i need to destroy the jamming first.

I cant find the bird home planet so i cant talk to them.

I dont have the dyson sphere password.

No races have anything else to say, neither does the kite station.

I have all artifacts from both artifcat stations.

I have completed every event on all known areas, except the planet that shoots flakk, and the one with the lightning.

I dont have enough msg fragments to figure that one out and i have no other missions.

I have not given the mine back its silver staff thing though, because its bugged and i cant go back to the mine, its just not available.

I have not done anything with the sick hermit as i dont have any options there.

There is one unmaned space station that i also cant do anything with.

Otherwise i have found and done all stars i can find, and have travelled out and found all events ive had directions for out in open space.

I dont know what else to do. Surely im not supposed to just start flying out into open space randomly. There is far too much and you travel to slow for that to be viable.

Anyone got any clues what i should do? I have no idea.

To find the birds, you should dig through your logs. Search for "Nest Whirlpool". You will find alien survey data. Because some stars and quests are randomly generated, info from my game may not work for you. But it will tell you how to solve the puzzle.
Using Desolate Benchmark, also known as Dying-Cathedral
0.153 Lir from Dying-Cathedral
8.164 Lir from Nest Whirlpool
To convert this into human numbers, I flew on top of the planet and found my coordinates were -6.41 x -28.50. Activating my shields, I then flew ontop of the star. It's coordinates were -6.40 x -28.57.
Pythagorean theorem, A squared + B squared = C squared.
The distance between the star and the planet is .01 horizontal, and .07 vertical.
0.01 x 0.01 + 0.07 x 0.07 = ?
0.0001 + 0.0049 = 0.005
square root of 0.005 = 0.0707
.0153 Lir divided by .0707 Starcom is a bit over 2. I'm rounding down to 2, as I don't think my original numbers are perfect. Therefore, the star Dying-Cathedral is (8.164 lir) = 16.328 Starcom away from Nest Whirlpool.
Perform this math for all the locations, and you can triangulate where Nest Whirlpool is.

Or if you REALLY don't want to do all of that, Nest Whirlpool seems to stay in the same place in every game. So you could just fly to -3.36 x -30.31

I'm pretty sure there are four jammers. I'll include where my save game says they are in case they stay in the same locations for every game. Otherwise, you can try searching your logs for "jamming station" in case you had already found it earlier and forgot.
19.72 x -52.59
-21.42 x 30.23
-40.04 x -3.83
43.41 x -9.50

Lightning planet will let you land if you keep trying. It will say 'bad weather' maybe 4 times, and then have good weather for you to land.

Silver staff is a side quest, I think. You should be able to complete the game.

Chaff planet? I don't remember that one...

Did the empty space station have graffiti? If not, I'm not sure what space station this is.

Dyson password, message fragments, and sick hermit aren't solvable yet. They'll eventually unlock after the jamming stations are all destroyed.

Thanks for all the info, much appreciated! I'll give finding the birds a go, if nothing comes of it, i think i'll just use your jaming coordinates and finish off the game. Thanks again.

I did end up having to look at the spoilers. I just didnt get any missions or discover any stars near one of the jamming stations, so i had no idea where it was. Finished the game now, so thanks again for the help!

Also big thank you! from me, another new player (became aware of this after having the follow up installation in my feed (which I immediately purchased cause I love this type of game ^^)

Chaff planet is one of the bird planets, FYI. They have a home planet and a new capital planet. I too found the new capital before finding them home and they just shot at me and wouldn't let me land. But if you can find the home planet then you can to back to the new capital.

Nothing at that location for me, just a jump point ...
SiliconWolf6 Nov 20, 2024 @ 11:17pm
OldeBalls, if I understand your question correctly, then yes. Finding a jump point there is exactly what you're supposed to find. When you go through the jump point, you will find the bird home system(s).

Tiny spoiler: you will need to know the names of the stars where the probes were. Otherwise the birds won't trust you. If you don't have all the probes found and don't want to find them, reply back and I'll see if the answers are stored in my logs.
