Their essentially losing nothing, but gaining a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money, by not having to pay their money maker?
He's not getting paid for the personal agenda stuff that he and Diana start doing after they stop taking ICA contracts and go after providence. The current trilogy doesn't bother to explain that clearly or with any payment numbers.
There's also no way to really estimate how much he's made over the years because the payments even when they were shown were extremely variable; on top of that there's any number of missions between the games which are mentioned in vague terms and we don't know how many there were.
From previous games he makes anywhere from $50,000 to $1,000,000 per kill. He's killed at a minimum 348 people that can be confirmed by the games, though probably was only paid for about 250 of them, give or take a few from those known kills; since the kill total includes people that he killed in self defense that attacked him or when he was on a personal agenda and just killing people he didn't like or out of revenge.
If we estimate an average $100,000 per kill after expenses and assume only the estimated 250 he was paid for, that's at least $25,000,000 that he could have saved up.
If we assume he's done double that in kills that we weren't shown you could estimate it at $50,000,000. That's over a period of 20 years from 2000 to 2020 and after all of his expenses are covered.
Do note however he did go dormant for a number of years a few times, including twice trying to retire and he's been known to donate heavily to at least a couple of churches and an orphanage.
There's no real way to know how much he actually earned, and even less information about how much he might have given away. Needless to say he's made and spent millions over the years, but still wouldn't be a super rich billionaire compared to the clients or companies he works for.

Also, Don't forget the mission where you kill Layla in absolution or Mei Ling in the first game. Almost every game has a sexual encounter. But he has a good side too (As Kunovega says), like in the beginning of silent assassin where he donates a large amount of money to the church.
I am not sure how rich is, but I don't think he has much savings since he spends and donates on the above. Thats why he never gets tired of getting money; he is not a miser. /Just my opinion.
