never going to buy from epic, especially after the free giveaway of gta online made it 10 times worse with "modders" than before
I'm sick of people using "modders" to describe script kiddies and cheaters.
GTAV is literally the only game whose community uses that term as a pejorative.

Yeah no modders should be used to describe, well people who makes mods for games like the sort of people who upload to nexusmods.
Since when did anyone start calling people who download and use cheats 'modders'?
PixelDonut 25 AGO 2020 a las 5:30 a. m.
Nope.
Will not be buying.
Which is sad as it was pretty much the only game I was really looking forward to.
Also not going to buy it on steam a year later, not even with a good discount.
With all that said, I wish IO nothing but the best.

LOL, only a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron would buy anything on Epic and support this disgusting practice of exclusives to specific PC game stores.

IO Interactive A/S have just earned a proud spot on the blacklist of sellouts that don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about their players.

Nah, they're just selling it on the Epic Game Store instead of on Steam. So you'll have to run it through Epic's free app instead of Valve's. All the hullabaloo here is much ado about nothing, but some folks are very committed to being mad about it.
I think the vast majority is silent about this topic because they do not care strongly about it.

Me I find it a bit annoying but it is what it is ...

I would prefer to have all my games in steam, and the epic launcher is a bit crappy and I don’t think it supports GeForce Now.
Basically this. Games not being on your preferred launcher is a bit annoying.
It’s not that the zillion launcher situation on PC isn’t worth talking about, it’s just not worth all this anger and the made up bull**** to justify it (which also makes actual conversation very difficult).

Why would you give your hard earned money to a company affiliated with the corrupt Chinese nation, which employ slaves, initiate terror tactics against their own populace and sell you "made in china" items made from hazardous to health material

I decided to not support this franchise anymore. I can live without purchasing it on either Epic or steam. I will not financially support anyone who take Epics exclusive deals.

I'm not touching the EGS with a ten foot pole.

I'll wait for the release in 2022, but since the game will be a year old by then, I expect a good discount. I'm not paying full price.

♥♥♥♥ no.

Epic would have to PAY me.

Epic is saying the same thing: “Erebus would have to pay me to have the game”

At this point you are just making a strawman argument to sidetrack the actual topic.

No one is complaining about multiple launchers or multiple game stores in relation to this specific event; it's EGS specifically that is the problem.

It's not an issue of "Steam good, more launchers bad" it's specifically EGS that we don't like and for numerous reasons that have already been covered in numerous threads. If you really think the problem is "we don't like multiple launchers" you either haven't been paying attention or have only a tenuous grasp on the English language.

If it was just a multiple launcher issue, it would have been just a few casual annoyance comments and we'd all still be buying it. ioi store exclusive? Sure why not, we can support a new publisher. GOG exclusive? Sure, why not, it would have been a weird sidestep to cater to the DRM haters, but at least GOG isn't anti-consumer. Steam exclusive? I'd never ask for that but it is the user base that supported ioi through the last four years of their struggles on PC.

The list goes on of various launchers that might have been tolerated without too much grumbling in this community and while exclusives to any store other than the publishers own platform would be weird, it's only EGS that most of us have a problem with.

It's really bizarre that you are now trying to make this a debate over multiple launchers when the issue is EGS. You might as well be trying to argue over whether horse makes for good breakfast meat, it's irrelevant to the topic.

Every single time a new launcher has popped up and a franchise that wasn't exclusive to one went exclusive, gamers flipped their ****. And nobody had **** to say about Epic or its store until games started going exclusive to it. The argument for why Epic is suddenly so bad now, after you've been inconvenienced, is the same strawman angry gamers concoct after they've gotten mad for selfish reasons to convince themselves they're really fighting the "good fight".

The zillion launchers on PC issue includes the pros and cons of each launcher, but my point is none of it is worth the hate and anger that pours out of gamers whenever a game announces it's Epic exclusive. That's all because gamers love being angry, and shouldn't be legitimized.

Yeah I don't get why people on the "hurrr u only like steam" thing.

Not buying on EGS by any chance, probably on Steam in 2022 with a discount, after having missed some live content and all the release fever anyway.
mcgeehe 25 AGO 2020 a las 9:17 a. m.
Yup, will be buying this from Epic Games..... but not until after I'm done playing Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG.
