Hitman Legacy pack vs Goty Legacy pack

Hi, guys, what is the difference between these two pack? I installed Hitman 2, the first time, and Hitman one was pressed a couple of years ago. I would like to play the missions from Hitman 1 in Hitman 2. I saw that none of these packs are available for purchase in the Steam store. What should I buy to connect the missions? I saw that the GOTY Legacy pack and Legacy pack are being sold on the CD keys website, so I don't know what I need to connect the missions and the complete game? When I enter Hitman 1, it says I have 17 dlc, and In Hitman 2, it says I have 18 dlc. Does that mean I have all dlc or GOTY editions? Expect I can't access missions from Hitman 1 while playing Hitman 2. Also, I have a physical copy of Hitman 1, SteelBook edition, and I bought Hitman 2 through Steam.

HITMAN Legacy Pack includes the content from HITMAN 1 without the GOTY stuff. The difference between the GOTY Legacy Pack and the normal Legacy Pack is the Patient Zero campaign, 3 extra outfits, weapons and 3 themed escalation contracts that unlock the 3 outfits and 3 weapons. The rest is the same. You still get the Bonus Missions, you still get all of the HITMAN 1 maps (Paris through Hokkaido), and the rest of the content.

Thank you for your reply, since I have Patient zero missions, as well as skins, that means I should buy the regular Legacy pack, if I want to have missions from Hitman 1 in Hitman 2? Right?

Hold on - do you have the Patient zero missions in HITMAN 1 or 2? If you have them in HITMAN 1, buy the GOTY Legacy Pack. You don't get the content from HITMAN 1 into HITMAN 2 automatically anymore. They've shut this down back in January.

Before the shutdown, players that owned a certain edition of the game would automatically get the same content in HITMAN 2 by being granted, for free, an entitlement pack (DLC) in HITMAN 2.
HITMAN: The Complete First Season -> HITMAN 2 The Complete First Season Pack, needs to buy GOTY Legacy Pack Upgrade to get the GOTY content
HITMAN (non-GOTY, other editions that don't include GOTY content) -> HITMAN 2 Legacy Pack , needs to buy GOTY Legacy Pack Upgrade to get the GOTY content
HITMAN GOTY -> HITMAN 2 GOTY Legacy Pack , doesn't need to buy anything.

Yeah, I think I get it. I have Patient zero missions in Hitman 1. A regular Legacy pack would allow me to play Hitman 1 missions in Hitman 2. However, the regular Legacy pack does not give me Patient zero missions for Hitman 2. On that side, I should get the GOTY Legacy pack, so I would have all the dlc from Hitman 1 in Hitman 2 and connect missions from Hitman 1 to Hitman 2. Right? Sorry for asking you so much, but it's really complicated considering that Steam withdrew the packs from sale.

Thats right, I bought the key through a CD key site. I bought a GOTY legacy pack, but when I entered the code, it said that I bought a regular Legacy pack. I didn't get the Patient zero campaign, 3 extra outfits, weapons and 3 themed escalation contracts. When I click Patient zero campaign, it says that I need to buy the GOTY legacy pack UPGRADE... The only problem is that the GOTY legacy pack upgrade is nowhere on the site, no one is selling it...

Thanks for the answer! Recently, this key appeared in the CD Key site again, and I tried to buy it, but it didn't work, no matter how much I tried. But now I'm not even sure if this is the right key.

Thank you for commenting, I really needed someone to talk to about this, as it is very confusing. Also, you gave me hope that the GOTY legacy pack upgrade might appear on the site. I'm afraid of that too, it's okay to spend a few euros once or twice, but there's no logic to constantly buying something that doesn't work... I

The same thing happened to me. I bought the Hitman - Legacy Pack DLC back in March, and it activated just fine. But, guess what? It didn't include the Patient Zero content. Bummer, right?

So, yesterday I saw that they had the GOTY Legacy Pack in stock, and I thought, why not grab that too? But, when I tried to activate it, I got hit with an error saying that I already have the "HITMAN 2 Complete The First Season Legacy Pack"...

Now, I'm scratching my head, wondering which key I need to get to unlock all the DLC for Hitman 2. It seems like they gave me another key for the Legacy Pack, not the GOTY Legacy Pack... 🤔

The same thing happend to me. I bought The GOTY legacy pack, I did't get Patient zero, and when I went to view licenses and product key activations, it said Hitman 2 Complete season legacy pack... I don't know if we should buy and risk ordinary legacy pack or even buy Hitman 1 GOTY. Waste money....

It sucks, but you can't redeem Hitman 1 DLC for free in Hitman 2 anymore, or even Hitman 2 DLC in Hitman 3. They used to let you do that until late January when they relaunched the game as World of Assassination...

I've got Hitman 1 GOTY and Hitman 2 Gold, and I even bought Hitman 3 before they made the switch to World of Assassination. But, damn it, I didn't get around to playing 2 or 3 before January 26, 2023. Talk about bad timing! 😣

Haha interesting to see a few people in the same boat. This also happened to me. I got the "GOTY Legacy pack" and it redeemed as "complete first season". I messaged their support but they are taking their sweet time getting back to me. Maybe they messed up labeling and the one they label Goty is the regular and the regular one is Goty? If anyone tries buying the regular, please let us know if it ends up redeeming GOTY.

Personally, I wouldn't give any more money to IOI, especially after they promised not to charge us for the content we have already bought and then do this. Also, I contacted them with a support questions regarding Hitman 2 and they said to only contact them regarding Hitman WoA. So I am going to be playing patient zero in Hitman 1 and not giving them any money with Hitman WoA.

I would message the cd key website support, maybe they can refund or give a correct replacement key? Maybe if more of us complain, they are more likely to resolve the issue?

As for the key you already have, I m sure there are more people who are in the same boat as we are,
