Best Maps ?
So far ive really only played Miami as ive wanted to play it like Hitman 1 and try to learn the map and do all the missions before moving on.
I played a little of the 2nd map, which is kinda "meh" imo. But looking ahead I really like the look of the one on the Isle - looks maybe a little like Paris ?
Looking forward to trying them out but would like to hear which maps people are liking best in Hitman 2.

Mumbai is easily one of the best maps made in any Hitman game, if not the best. It's ludicrously big and the introduction of intel gathering really makes the map shine, as there's more reason to explore (this is one of the problems I had with Marrakesh--too much of that map went unused). The isle of Sgail is pretty damn good too. I honestly didn't like the Suburb map as much as I thought I would. They needed to have goofier elements in it; was still a damn good map though. With the exception of the intro map, all the maps in this one have been excellent, rivalling Sapienza. Even the Colombian map is actually quite good, although it doesn't seem great at first.

Santa Fortuna is great, I didn't like it at first but after discovering some things, it starts to grow on you. Definitely a map to be played alot of different ways. Miami feels like the new paris, I have a feeling its gonna be the most focused on. I have to agree with the suburb map at that point in the game after the 3 best maps in this season, it just does not live up to the other 4. I was really pissed off that Hawkes Bay was the tutorial, I was really hoping they would have given us more. can't wait for the dlc, hopefully they will finally make a map to compete with sapienza, mumbai was good but maybe i need to play it a few more times.

I don't like Miami. Too much fake npcs. Yes, I don't like fake npc.

Hitman 2016 maps are still better. Unfortunately, there are no one map is as good as Sapienza.

Its the only way to get tthat many NPCs without being a memory intensive nightmare. Only Miami and Mubami are evident of this and its pretty clear why given they are the biggest maps in the game, if not the entirety of the two recent games. Marrekesh was the same situation.

that's why my favorite maps from hitman 2016 are Sapienza, Colorado and Hokkaido. No fake npc.

Feel like hating a map entirely because of fake NPCs is a little narrow minded, sure real NPCs are better but their mere existent don't make the entire map bad especially they are always just making a place seem crowded.

Miami, it has taken me a while, but I have warmed up to it. It certainly wasn't a great map initially, I feel it was a little chaotic with too much happening with a race track AND the Kronstadt building. But there is a lot of flashy ways of getting the targets and I feel msot of the map is used, and used well.

I reckon the best designed mission is Hawkes Bay, but they clearly pulled some punches as it is essentially the tutorial level. But because everything is so compact, the setting is very cohesive. Mumbai I feel is essentially Marrakesh done right. Make the crowded streets a location for the target, while the well defended compounds looks like an extension of the streets rather than a fortress. Whittlecreek, basically a modern reimagination of A New Life from Blood Money in some ways.

The Isle of Sgail? Personally, I didn't love it. On my first playthrough, I really struggled to find a place to shoot the targets and in the end followed a Mission Story, I rather not do that on first playthrough. The context of the mission meant you need to eliminate both targets quickly or the first one silently. Is a step up in difficulty from the rest as there is less secluded areas, and a nice final level. And a very interesting design too, but not my favourite. A bit like a Hokkaido for me, but better.

3-Headed Serpent, I didn't like at all. Maybe I need to warm up to it. The targets are too separated for me and the setting of a cartel in a jungle is not exactly the most unique idea.

I really like the neighbourhood, reminds me of a blood money map. Everyone loves huge maps(saipanza, miami etc..) and I get WHY they do, but I feel they kind of miss the barn door for the forest in a way, small but very deep and sandbox-like maps are where hitman shines.

The best hitman maps of all time imo are average sized but huge room for sandbox hijinx. Such as the cul de sac, opera theatre, spa resort in blood money, and the mansion in contracts.

prove me wrong!

Hmm, pretty hard to say because I haven't played all of them more than 2 times.
Mumbai is probably my least liked one so far of the new ones, but have only played it once. Reminds me of Marakesh from Himan (2016). The Bollywood hit was fine, also the Queen. But the Maelstrom and his gang wasn't that fun doing without a Mission Story.

Top 5 Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 (2018) maps/locations so far: Will for sure change.
1. Sapienza (The virus is a bit of a bummer, but at least you can start next to it and its fast and easy.)
2. Paris
3. Bangkok (grown on me)
4. Whittleton Creek (Hitman 2), really dislike the clue objectives because they get boring after first playthrough, and they are not optional. But otherwise a sweet small map cramped with fun things. Also the setting, so absurd.
5. Hokkaido

Running up:
Isle of Sgail, Miami and Santa Fortuna

Idk man for me it felt like whittleton is kinda empty feeling. There are too many houses you cant even enter or only enter partially. The missions are nothing too crazy or new. The only thing i really liked was the way 47 presented the house to the target the dialog is hilarious. I think this mission could have been the best mission ever if they had put a bit more time into it. They could have added so many goofy suburban things into this. It would have been so cool if 47 was able to buy the house and move in to kill the targets in a big welcome party or smth like that. Maybe give janus a dog which you can feed a bomb to or some ♥♥♥♥ like that.

I have to agree that I prefer the legacy maps over the newer maps. That isn't to say I don't like the newer maps though. I also like Sapienza, though I enjoy the Landslide bonus mission more than the actual main mission.

Playing Landslide will still grant you Master XP right?
