Purchased game but not able to access content

Can anyone please help me with this? I bought the game but when in the game trying to click on the story for hitman 2 it says I need to get access and it takes me to the steam store.

Did you actually purchase it or just clicked install and assumed you bought it, even though you didn't pay a dime?
Because it looks like that's the case and only thing you're able to play is tutorial, which is for free.

Is it still downloading, maybe? Also, did you purchase the full game for $60 USD, or the Expansion pass for $40 USD? Because of the weird way they set up their game, a lot of people have been pointed by the game to buy the expansion pass, even when they don't own the base game.

That's because they gave everyone the prologue for free which makes using 3rd party keys and purchases outside of the game a royal pain apparently.

You should refund the expansion pass and request to delete the "free" hitman 2 game from your library after that.

He didn't say he did though so i assumed he bought it on steam. If not, tough luck. Might as well get a cheap key for the game then.

yeah man at August GreenManGaming sold Hitman 2 Gold Edition for 18$.. :V grebbed it then... instant key arrival... he should have done his research... so many people commented negative reviews on Season Pass due to this, weird

It's actually an IOI mess, because of the way they set this up. If you try to buy the season pass for any other game on Steam where you don't already own the base game, it will error out and tell you you have to own the base game before buying the dlc.

If you bought the silver edition then you have the full HITMAN 2 game plus 1 expansion pack when it releases. Are you able to access the base HITMAN 2 game? If you owned HITMAN 1 you should be able to get that inside HITMAN 2 aswell.
