Sierra Knox electric shock doesn’t work?

When Sierra Knox standing in the corner of the racing hall (same halll where she gets interviewed )near the finish line beside the two mirrors , the water cooler .... there is a damaged power strip on the floor.

Together with the water of the water cooler on the floor it is a nice place for Sierra Knox to get a electric shock.

I turn on the power switch ... I can see the flashes spark on the floor telling me the floor is deadly.
Sierra Knox standing on that carpet with water and power strip.... nothing happens to her. ??

I am not sure, because I didnt try it myself, perhaps you need to use an screwdriver prior to putting on electricity, on the power strip, to damage it. It was the case previously on other maps.

I've killed her using this method before. I used a screwdriver on the power strip, pierced the water cooler, then waited for her to get near. Then I flipped the switch on the plug and she fried. I did notice that if you turn the power on and the wait is too long before someone stands in it, there'll be a bigger than normal spark and it'll stop working after that.
It's definately doable though.
