Looking for a way to redeem Legacy Pack for Hitman 2 Steam, from Hitman 1 on Epic
I have Hitman 1 on the Epic Game Store, the free version, and I bought Hitman 2 on Steam, is there a way to redeem for free the legacy pack for Hitman 2 on Steam, from my Epic Games Store Hitman 1 version ?

Yeah, I'm in the EXACT same boat as you. I just sent an e-mail to IOI to see what they have to say about the situation. If I hear anything back, i'll be posting it here.

Yeah so ♥♥♥♥ it. I bought the Hitman 2 legacy pack GOTY edition for half off on Kinguin. Installed that instead.

But additional information for you. On another forum post around here somewhere, I read that a lot of people have the same issue as us. Someone referred to the hitman legacy FAQ on IOI's website, stating that it's quite possible that IOI considers Steam and Epicstore to be "not the same platform".

The FAQ states:
Q: "If I own H1 on platform A, can I redeem the Legacy Pack on platform B?"

A: "No. You must own H1 on the same platform that you want to play H2 in order to redeem and play the Legacy Pack at no additional cost."

So basically no, but maybe yes. But probably no.

That's what happens when you shop on dodgy epic website

I don't care how dodgy they are, they're giving it away for free. If not for the free game on epic, I wouldn't have even thought of buying a Hitman game.

Just because you got hitman(2016) free on epic doesn't mean they owe you the legacy pack for hitman 2 for free.

Legacy Pack was given to people who BOUGHT the previous game,it's for sale to anyone else, it even costs less than the previous game so consider it a discount

You aren't entitled to anything else free. Go ahead and play the previous game free, that's what they gave you. But if you want the legacy pack, pay for it like everyone else did.

Just what we needed. A whole assload of people who have never played a Hitman game clogging up the Steam forums with questions about the things they got free on the epic store. This is playing out quite fantastic so far. Go ask about your free game on the epic games forums... Oh wait that's right. Their store is ♥♥♥♥ and they don't have that option.

that's what happens when people get something for free that they wouldn't otherwise get or have any interest in. this is just another symptom of epic's poisoning of the industry.

Lmao that's classic. I really hope Steam mods do something about this seeing as how it's their "competition" that's making this happen. Namely the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who never would have supported Hitman in the first place who now got it free and suddenly show up on these forums to ask the community that just got screwed for help. (Twilight Zone theme playing in the background)

Sadly there's no way for Steam and Epic game libraries to crossover, nor would they ever, so they are a different platform. Don't ever expect to be able to use the sequels on different services.

Which is a shame because I too got into Hitman because of Epics free game service (which is by far the best thing going for PC gaming right now, hands down). I did pick up H2 on Steam though because it's what I'm most comfortable using. Didn't realise you had to buy/own H1 seperately though, the product description does imply heavily that you get the original missions by default. Oh well.

Unless I feel like waiting 3 years for Steam to get Hitman 3 and put it on a decent sale, I guess I'll have to be getting the third on Epic too, which will complicate things more.
