Can't play DLC after buying gold edition

I bought Hitman 2 Gold edition during the winter sale, and it won't let me play the DLC since it crashes on the loading screen after pressing play on a location, is there a known fix for this?

I think i have some problems too. I just bought the gold edition aswell and don't know why the game is crashing all the time closing it while im playing. Any error massage is displayed

For me the game launches just fine, it's just that I can't access any of the DLC missions, only Hawke's Bay

My processor is an AMD-FX 6300 Six-Core and my video card is a NVIDIA Geforce 1050 Ti if that helps anything

I'm not entirely sure but I remember reading you need to uninstall the free demo which was Hawke's Bay before playing or accessing the full game.

Do you mean under the licenses where it says starter pack? if so, it doesn't allow me to remove that and it just says complimentary

That happened to me with many maps, most of the times the installation failed. If the video for the mission don't load that is a sign. Reinstalling the maps solve the problem for me.

For me the videos didn't load, but I assumed that was due to my internet, it's not the best. I'm reinstalling the game at the moment

Try running on DX11 this may be related to the DX12 bug. It may not be the issue. The first thing you could try is make sure you have DLC installed and check itegrity of files.

Also you could try this:

Do this hold down windows key then press r.Then type: regeditIt will pop up a message hit yesThen copy this: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IO Interactive\HITMAN2 then type that in the top bar. or navigate to it.then look for look for "graphics API" double click change the 1 to 0.
Then boot up with DX11
And it should work

For some reason my game was on DX11 as default so i changed it to DX12 and im currently playing for 25 min straight so looks solved for me now.ç

I'm reinstalling the game atm, so I'll have to see if that works once the game is reinstalled, my internet isn't the best. The game ran on DX11 by default, and it didn't work, same thing w/ DX12, although I didn't do anything w/ regedit.

That's good to hear. Yeah it seems DX12 is just not working right and needs a fix. So just wait for next updates hopefully will have it solved. See my I thought my error was the same as everyone else but it was a different one. But it seems DX11 is the solution to the issues atm. Even if we have cards that support DX12.

for me the dlcs didnt actually install when i purchased them. I had to click the dlc tab and uncheck/check the dlcs labeled "downloading"
