Target Jorge Franco (Columbia) not spawning sometimes.

A simple restart *sometimes* fixes this, but after just fooling around on the same level, I find that he doesn't spawn, or is missing from the map. Reloading mid-mission doesn't change anything and it does happen frequently enough that i'm posting here.


I've tried mostly on Master, haven't seen him dissapear on Professional, Variety of loadouts and starts (Might be most common with the Shaman hut start? idk)


Anyone else have similar problems of the HVT being gone?

800+ hours played and I've never seen it happen yet

Maybe a corrupt file? Try verifying game files

I think that something like this has just happened to me. I can just spot his red silhouette in whatsit mode, but it is a tiny speck miles away off the map. I have completed a ton of challenges and I can't finish the damn level.

Maybe I have overlooked something? If I have missed something obvious please let me know.

This just happened to me as well. On Professional difficulty, default start position.

Hi there, this was quite a while ago, but I think a full restart of the mission 2 or 3 times changed it for me, I've no idea if a patch changed it. Make sure to restart the mission, not just resume it from a load.

Had that bug one time for me in Miami. Sierra for some reason decided to take a stroll across the water, she was like a kilometer (or more) out when I noticed. But it was a one-time thing.

I have observed this happening twice with guards in the sniper missions. They just started walking off the map. When I shot in their vicinity (I don't think I actually shot them due to the great distance they had walked), they automatically died though.

I've found that his body guards will go the edge of the map when he spawns away. I went up kick one of his two bodyguards into the water then punched the other. That SOMEHOW respawned him at my location (This is re-produce-able). I have no clue how that works, but if his bodyguards are on the edge of the helipad feel free to try it out. You will get shot at though. (I know I'm late to the thread, but just for anyone else with this problem)
