how do I get Novikov on stage?

I knocked out the stylist and hid him, I listened to the guards talking about the lightning rig and now I'm just waiting. no models have been on the runway for ages, but novikov just stands there. he isn't moving from the dressing rooms at all now.

how can I finish this challenge please as I'd really like to get my poison and move on with the game. I really want the poison before moving on though so I must keep doing this france mission.

Novikov and the stylist both get on stage, after Helmut Kurger goes on stage (give or take a minute or so for set-up)

I read that you must use rat poison on the stylist to make him sick and this triggers novikov going on stage. I reloaded and trying that. models are still on the cat walk now at least.

I think this way is so you don't have to kill the stylist as well.

I have a feeling I did things in the wrong order though maybe though as this is just going on for ever.

U have to play the diorama so the the main stylist (sapestian if i remember correctly) will get mad and go drink from a glass (which u should poison with emetic poison, to get him out of the picture), by doing so novokov will have to go to the stage in his place to give speech, now u can complete the light rig challenge.

The catwalk goes on for a while. but I remember the story mission also asks you to poison the stylist, so that Victor takes over the speech.

is it supposed to take like 10+ minutes after the guy drinks the poison? Novikov is just standing on the same spot in dressing rooms and won't move. I think it might be bugged or it hasn't registered as I think you have to go to the attic first and listen to the guards and I did that after looking at the stage plan.

Follow the mission stories, lights out will teach you one of several ways to get him on stage

Sure, getting that stylist guy helps but you still have to wait and wait and wait.

We could really use that Magic Watch[streamable.com], IOI.

I gotta say, this is one of the worst mission stories if you have to wait that long in order to kill Novikov and even when that time comes, you're likely gonna cause some casualties because some models may stay on the catwalk, ruining your SA rating.
At least seeing the stage being smashed with a light rig looks cool but jeez, it takes forever for Novikov to get on stage.

I got impatient and just dropped it on some models before.

OK so I will just wait then. I was thinking I'd done things in the wrong order and now he was just stuck on the same spot now.

yeah after you do something to trigger it the fashion show should start to wind down and then you have to bolt for the attic again. I have a fast route using the outside of the building to get up, switching between staff and circada costume on the way up or down.

the fact you have to sit and wait for 20 minutes is absurd.

The Last Yardbird has the worst waiting periods for challenges. And you can't even save to try again if you fail.

I hope the next Sniper Map doesn't have any more of those boring challenges because I am sick of restarting and wait again.

I don't think it was ever intended to be an SA style of kill, just an easy (if long) accident

Many of the mission stories don't lead you to SA ratings, just things to know or triggers to understand that you can then use to create your own path changes for your own kill styles

I had to save and turn it off as I was falling asleep. I'm pretty sure he was stuck and was never gonna move.

to get him to appear on stage I believe this is the sequence:

> pickup stage schedule intel (I think its behind the stage in the corridor)
> remove the stylist permanently (put him in a box etc)
> when Novikov doesn't detect the stylist on his patrol circuit, he will head to the stage (as it says on the intel)
> head to the top floor and prepare to drop the lighting rig on him

I need to trigger a convo between them or it will never work aparenty. that's why he's frozen in place back stage. he can't finish his loop without talking to the stylist and I've already poisoned him.

I actually fell asleep before waiting for him to go on stage/ he never left the spot he was standing on for about 30 mins if not longer.

What probably happened was that the runway event was triggered already. If you don't already know, Victor will go on the runway automatically after some time in the level.

Your best bet here is to restart and try again.
