When it comes down to it, the western media and leftist SJW's have caused such a politicized regression when it comes to females in movies and video games.

Especially in the last two years, any female protagonist or strong influencing character has to be below average in terms of physical beauty to be acceptable, or else the third-wavers get butt-hurt.

IO, especially with the partnership with WB now, doesn't want to feel the storm like many other video game producers today, whereas in Asia-- notably Japan and South Korea, female characters are so blatantly sexualized that it's not even funny.

Can you imagine a JRPG with females that aren't cute, adorable girls who are notably well-endowed? Yeah, I didn't think so.
