bugged challenge!

i am trying to do "in plain sight" from the paris mission.
You just have to kill both targets during fireworks with a sniper etc.

I did all that and i got sniper assassin, so i know i did not get spotted. I also killed them easily withing 10 seconds. Still i do not activate the challenge. Tried twice.

I know what's wrong with it.

You see, despite the distance between entrance to mansion and tower on barge (i assume you
shoot from there just like me) Novikov's bodyguard always notices sniper after his patron is dead. Therefore you fail "do not get spotted". Solution is quite simple - kill Novikov's bodyguard, then Novikov, then Dahlia.

but i got sniper assassin which also means not being spotted

1. That isn't true, I've done this challenge several times and never had the bodyguard spot me

2. That challenge requires that you only kill your targets, therefore your suggestion will auto-fail the challenge anyway

i did not do the story event, i just used the fireworks thing, maybe thats the issue.
But i got 15 mastery ill take a break with that map for a while now. Got the poison etc thats enough for now.

I don't think there is a story for that one anyway. I just start as the tech, grab the remote, go out to the shed and retrieve the sniper, out to the barge, climb up top and bang bang

It worked exactly the same way in the previous game.

Well he always notices me shooting Vic - if i go anywhere near him afterwards he immediately goes in combat mode.
And no, this challenge doesnt require killing just targets. Sniper Assassin - yes, Plain Sight - no.

Also i got Sniper Assassin exactly when i was doing this, yet no Plain Sight. Got PS only after killing bodyguard first.

Wait until she's at the wall and shoot them both within 5 seconds of each other

The only difference in 2 is that the sniper will be in a briefcase, make sure you are using a silenced sniper not a noisy one (ghost sniper is the best and comes from just one escalation)

i've done this 4 times now in every difficulty and it's always worked

As long as you have a silenced sniper rifle, you should be able to pull it off easily enough. I did it first try. You just need to be quick.

Can confirm that regardless of distance or angle, Bodygaurd for Viktor always runs toward the direction you fired from and instantly turns yellow when he nears you. So, my final run I poisoned the bodygaurd with the sushi and incapacited in him the bathroom as he puked his guts out and hid him in the cabinet. I then proceeded as normal, grabbed the sniper case from the shed and went up the tower at the pier. Fired off fireworks, waited, popped both targets after the other, INSTANTLY got the challenge achievement.

This was after 3 hours of attempting this at varying levels of difficulty and with different items and positions.

So yes, the bodygaurd is bugged.

And what sniper rifle are you using?

I used the Sieger 300 Ghost for my last 3 attempts.

Prior to that I also used the Jaeger 7 and Jaeger 7 lance.
