Judging by that, the game is attempting to run in Dx12.
That would explain a lot. Hitman (2016) was very unstable for me and crashed a lot in dx12, because of this I ran it in dx11 for 100's of hours with exceedinly rare crashes (maybe once every 100 hours instead of every 1 to 2 hours in dx12)
Hitman 2 is acting like Hitman (2016) in dx12 as far as crashing, it crashes every 1 to 2 hours for me, despite the configuration toggle only offering dx11 as an option
If it's switching or trying to switch to dx12 without any direct way of telling it not to, there's the instability of the previous game in dx12 mode all over again (for me)
I have a gtx 1080, it "can run" dx12, but its never been stable for me
another way to see it, use a fps program (afterburner) and you see D3D11 + FPS
also if you use fraps its working, meaning its dx11 as fraps doesnt support dx12
or does hitman 2 has a commandline to force it through dx12?
so far hitman 2 didnt crash once for me while hitman 1 did in the past (not with the latest version tho, as hitman 1 also runs now very stable for me (dx12)) but hitman 2 runs not as smooth in terms of fps as hitman 1 did. game is still very new so i see optimization potential (i hope)
(Win10, 1080ti, so i can run dx12, it just doesnt work lmao)
