Patient Zero worth it in regards to story?

I'm sure it's been asked a bunch of times before but none really cover exactly what I'm asking...

Having played through both Hitman (Legacy through Hitman 2) and Hitman 2 (finished it just now) I'm actually rather enthralled by the story and would like to see it continue. From the main screen, selecting "story", the layout is Epilogue, Hitman, Hitman 2 and then Patient Zero. I have the legacy pack but NOT the GOTY content, so no Patient Zero.

Is there ANY story progression available in Patient Zero or is it simply 'bonus' missions without any real contribution to the ongoing plot? I love the game to bits so don't mind plonking down £8 for additional content... I'd just like to know what I'm getting.

I actually replayed Patient Zero today. It's four okay-ish missions with a small storyline that has no relation to the main story and is never mentioned again (at least not until Miami, which is as far as I've gone in Season 2 so far). So no, no contribution to the main story.

Thanks for the help guys. That's a shame but kinda what I expected. I'll probably shell out for it anyway as my completionist side almost demands it, but good to know what to expect. Thanks again!
