Does anyone know how long the race usually goes? I'm currently waiting in Moses Lee's garage for the race to end, so I can disguise as him for The Thunder Thief challenge, and to see what else you can do when you're him. He won the race, after all. If 47 doesn't interfere, that is. So I never really let the mission play through on it's own, before I eventually initiated some change of plan by stopping the race prematurely for example. Anyone have some more details of how the story will play out without you interacting? I am 20 Minutes in and the race is still going on. All the websites I googled have only rudimentary information about the level.

I remember at some point Diana will tell me that the last round has begun, and a short while later the drivers will appear in their garages and start walking down their path. Do we need to trigger the end of the race? If so, how? I've started as Kowoon mechanic, cleared the garage and walked upstairs to the party for a bit. Where do I need to go?

It seems random/inconsistent as far I can tell. I guess certain actions/conditions might make the race end. I've had the race end at around five minutes once when I started at the harbor not doing anything related to the race. I know that when you disqualify, use sugar, or kill Sierra/Moses the race ends immediately or not long after.

if you play on master you can save and reload and the race will end immediately

Apparently the race never ends if the player doesn't leave the garages. I'm 50 minutes in now without leaving the building and they are still doing their rounds. There must be some triggers around the level you have to cross, then the race ends.

Ok, so when you go to the tribunes and listen to the announcer of the race for a while, he will tell us that this race has no 'standard' rules, because it's meant to show the endurance of the teams and the race only ends when enough cars give up. Case solved. Thanks for the suggestions.

I believe the race never ends until you do specific triggers to cause it. There are many various triggers you can do. The fastest way to end it on demand is use the flags to disqualify one of the drivers and it will be over at the end of that lap. There are several other triggers.

Yeah, I figured it out, thanks. I took my time and tried to find all the little stories in the map. After visiting the tribune, I went into the parking garage and found this guy in a bird costume. Giving him what he wants starts a mission story I think and soon after that Diana told me that the race will be over after one more lap. So I ran back to the garage and was right on time when Moses left his car. With nobody else around, I got his clothes and enjoyed the victory party. And I even beat Sierra at the drinking game. The last one on the table was poisoned...
