took me like an hour to finish the last patient zero mission... lots of people to kill and very bad gun fight mechanics, alot of running around just so i don't get killed by the armed guards,

struggling to make headshots when my target is shooting at me from 1 feet away because aim assist is nonexistent, maybe playing with unlocked framerate would be better but still, the gunplay feels more like paintball

ughh i can't wait for red dead 2... if there's anything rockstar does best is gunfight mechanics.

Hitman games typically have aim assist when using a controller, it's been part of at least the last few and it worked flawlessly in Hitman (2016)

The option is even in this one, its just currently broken

it will likely be fixed at some point in the future, it was broken for a while in the previous game as well

What I hate about it is the damage dropoff. People shouldn't be surviving 5+ .45 shots to the torso just because they're 20 yards away.

Then you wouldn't like Red Dead Redemption 2 as well. That game allows like several shots before the person is quelled

RDR2 doesn't have damage dropoff, and you can use rifles with express rounds to kill guys in 1-2 hits.

Do yourself a favor and stop playing with a controller on game that requiere aiming...

Screw those aim assist fonction, controller is made for other type of game such as RPG souls-like, racing or fighting game.

the camera zooms in way too much when you aim your gun and it prevents you from seeing enemies around you

and aim assist does not work....combining these two problems together and gunfights are near unplayable with controller

gunplay with controller is unplayable in this game..also at times the buttons are not responding at all, like i'm holding the run button and he doesn't run.... what a mess

Why are you trying to do gun fights with all the guards in an entire level?

Hokkiado is hard by itself, Patient Zero on Hokkiado is alot harder, especially if you get a few more targets than usual.

This isn't Duke Nukem, Silent Assassin or at least control situations that will alert others.

i play with a controller it works really good imo what kind of controller are you using?

I just did that one yesterday, after 2 hours of save scumming.. 3 stars in the end.. ugh ;p

Then I watched a guy doing it in 2 minutes :D

Decided at one point in my run, lets get them ALL infected! I don't think I got everyone infected, but certain most (if I ran into ppl not infected, I nudged them in getting infected, dropping a gun near them is a good way to get them run to a guard ^^)

I never got attacked though, plenty of behind the back kills :D

i also watched a guy on youtube finish this mission fast.. he somehow managed to not have everyone get infected and even tho i followed his exact steps alot of people still got infected...

also the whole facility is like a maze so finding your way to all the infected takes alot of time

To be honest, they should release like a 'mutator', to enable infected mode on any map :D

Shouldn't be too hard, use same logic as in patient zero for spreading, and infect all targets by default. They might have to decrease/increase the spread rate though depending on the map.

I wish this game had mods, I would love such a mod :D

Did you watch a version from Hitman 1? Because the Hitman 2 version has some changes that make it slightly more difficult.

I was able to SA/SO without any additional infected, but just for comparison I could achieve that in just a few minutes in Hitman 1, but it took about 30 minutes in Hitman 2 because it required a completely different approach to get into the basement to avoid the new guard locations.

Old methods relied on knocking out just one nurse and being out before anyone else is infected, new method there's a doctor that comes down from the upper floor that also needs to be handled, and that's on top of the new guard issues.

It's not much of a maze if you actually learn the map, but there's enough changes that if you are watching old videos for instructions you will have a lot to adapt.

yea i watched the one with killing the nurse that prevented the whole place from being infected, but i ended with 30+ infected so i just grabbed the samurai sword in slashed everybody

like everybody else? just because you're using xbox controllers doesn't mean everyone does too.

and the logitech controller is much better anyway
That's just an opinion and no, don't give me that "oPiNoNs ArE fAcTs" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
We all have our preferences.
What controller you're using has nothing to do with why aim assist isn't working properly.
Besides, aiming with a mouse is way better and more precise anyway.

If you come in the side door by the mountain you could knock out the nurse without killing her before she gets infected.

The biggest issues now are that you can no longer go into the camera room from there without being seen, you have to go back out and around from the garage entrance then distract the guard into the hallway to get into the camera room.

By the time you've done that and gotten the antidote there's a doctor that comes down from the upper floor, she also needs to be knocked out to prevent her being infected. Beyond that most of the old info is generally accurate, you just need to adapt. (assuming you are going for full challenge completion, the SA/SO is doable)
