Can't get Silent Assassin (5 Stars) at Whittleton Creek.

So I am a more of a Mission Stories guy, poisoned Nolan Cassidy's food after starting as a server then poisoned the old man's breathing machine, escaped via the sewer system and got 4 stars. Did this twice just to confirm. What am I doing wrong?

On the stat screen at the end what were the modifiers?

You should have something like this if you did it in SA which will get you 5 stars.

Missing out on any of these or not doing any optional objectives (that last part being exclusive to contracts mode) will not get you 5 stars.

Did you destroy security camera recordings?

And did you by chance get too close to someone who could see through a disguise?

Turns out there was a camera covering the small hallway between study room (the room which you can climb up to from the garden) and Janus' bedroom. While doing it again for the 3rd time I finally saw the 'you're recorded' notification which barely lasted 0.3 seconds, no wonder I didn't see it before.

Destroying evidence is a must everywhere I suppose.

Or just shoot cameras as you go. Or avoid them, there's alternative paths to everything.

You can also hear them, and see their scan area on the floor.

You can't always get around cameras, but most maps it's actually fairly easy to destroy the recordings.
Only one that comes to mind where destroying the recordings would seriously be an issue would be Himmapan Hotel on Silent Assassin Suit Only... But there you can destroy every camera before you'd enter it's view.

The notification only lasts for as long as you remain within the camera's POV. It makes a pretty distinct sound though.
In gameplay options you can activate a Silent Assassin indicator that appears next to the minimap. That way you can keep track of whether you meet the requirements for SA or not.

I like to take a sedative poison with me. knock out the exterminator by the van leave him in the bushes by said van. Run inside Nolan's garage, close it. Turn on the generator to create a distraction. Time it right and you'll get the blue guy that stands around in the kitchen, AND the guy in the brown jacket. Hide their bodies in the freezer. There's a blue guard that walks in and out through the back door. When he's in the house, throw a coin or something at the wall by the garage door. As he comes to investigate it, turn on the generator. Knock him out like the other two, dich his body over by the freezer. Go to the back yard, add sedative to the fumigator. Wait for nolan and his gaurd to enter the house and stand by the kitchen table. then just turn on the fumigator. everybody in the house will drop. No bodies found, full suit only silent assassin. All you have to do is turn off the fumigator, go in the house, snap nolan's neck. Sounds like a lot, but it actually only takes a few minutes. On Master difficulty there's an extra blue guy by the fumigator, but if you throw a coin at the inside wall by the window he's standing by, he will come into the house, and then the generator trick will get him to come into the garage.

One trick you can do is go and enable Options > Gameplay > Silent Assassin HUD. This will put a small indicator on your screen that is green when you are eligible for a silent assassin rating and turns red when you're not. As a note, it is possible for this indicator to turn red and then back to green in some cases (such as if the only witness to your crimes was a target and you eliminate them or when you erase camera recordings).

Since you need 3 clues to leave the mission anyway, the three easiest to obtain are:

1. Legal papers from batty's garage (and grab the shovel on the way out)

2. Cigar box buried in the bushes (right near where you just got the shovel)

3. The picture in Janus basement (since you are likely in or near Janus house anyway to kill him)

While in the basement there's only one guard, easily avoided and/or knocked out, simply shoot the evidence recorder while in the basement (assuming you were even recorded, which is easy to have avoided), either way it's as simple as taking out the camera recorder while grabbing the required clue piece anyway that's in the same room with you

All 3 clues and the camera recordings can be done easily in less than 30 seconds no matter what actual kill methods you are doing

3. The gramophone on the second floor in Janus' house. Just hide in the closet and wait for Janus to come in and remember. And optionally, if you want an easy Silent Assassin kill, you can on the same run inside the house go poison his oxygen mask.

Personally, I think the easiest clues are

1. The letter from one of the guards at Cassidy's place. You can knock everyone in the house out with the fumigator, just use it while Cassidy is also inside.

The legal papers in battys shed are literally right next to the shovel that you needed to pick up to get the cigar box in your next suggestion, you can pick them up at the same time

2. The Cigar Box. Easy to get without anyone noticing.

I mean, you are suggesting the cigar box, which requires the shovel, why would you waste time knocking everyone out to get the letter? That's way more work and time than just picking up the papers while also getting the shovel, they are right next to each other...

3. The gramophone on the second floor in Janus' house. Just hide in the closet and wait for Janus to come in and remember. And optionally, if you want an easy Silent Assassin kill, you can on the same run inside the house go poison his oxygen mask.

You are already in the house, your suggestion is to go upstairs and wait, that's a much longer process than just going downstairs in the same house, grabbing a picture and leaving. The picture in the basement is less than half the time, fewer guards in the way and is compatible with far more kills for less effort (plus gives you fast access to the camera evidence if you needed it)

Your methods suggested are notably longer and more risk.

They may be somewhat longer, but they're mostly with keeping easy Silent Assassin kills in mind.

If you can knock out all of Cassidy's guards and Cassidy himself, all you really need to do is walk in and shoot him or break his neck and grab the letter and you're done with his house.


And if you poison Janus' oxygen mask you can just go make the doctor go visit Janus he'll go use it and be taken care of.


Well, I find it even more risk free to get the shovel from the shed in the park near the bus stop, no lawsuit papers there.



Basically, my Suit Only Silent Assassin run...

Bring in a gun (for destroying cameras), lockpick, sedative poison and lethal poison.

1. Start at the default bus stop, go through the park shed to get the shovel, go dig up the cigar box.
2. Hop over to Cassidy's property, sedative poison the fumigator, wait until everyone is inside and gas the place. Then go inside kill Cassidy and grab the letter from Spencer "The Hammer" Green.
3. Go to Janus' house, sneak in through the Garage, get upstairs, go activate the gramophone and hide in the closet in the room. After that go put the lethal poison his mask, then leave through the windows in the upstairs bathroom. Then go bother the ducks near the doctor and wait.

As the only real requirements are access to the fumigator in Cassidy's yard and access to Janus' house's second floor.

If you have access to janus second floor, you had access to basement with less security.

If you had access to the shovel to get the cigar box, you were already literally standing next to the legal papers sitting next to you on the shelf in the same room as the shovel which is in the yard directly next to where you dig it up

You have to actually walk past the two I suggested to get to yours and do more steps near more security
