They trace the direction the bullet came from and go searching
Move, they don't know it's you but they have a vague idea of where the shot came from and they will come looking
You should. Recently did the sniper challenges (professional) on miami. Had a single guard come investigating the gunshots but didnt find anything. Must be something else.
Did knock him out though, had an unhidden knocked out body nearby
Which shouldn't matter
Sniper challenge does not require an SA and specifically allows for bodies to be found
Some people try to SA or even SO while doing sniper challenge, but that's just adding your own difficulty as the only requirements are to not be spotted, not kill non-targets and use the sniper for all target kills
I think the mistake many people make is assuming they need to SA while doing sniper and then when they lose the SA they allow themselves to be spotted when they get careless after that
Theoretically this works simply to minimize the number of times you need to complete the mission to finish the classics.
If you have the skill to do SA/SO in one run, then the weapon you choose to use is meaningless. You can easily just use the sniper close up instead of your hands or fiberwire and complete all of the classics simultaneously on master in a single run. (that assumes you have the skill to SA/SO on master to begin with)
For someone that can not SA/SO easily on master, they are better off trying to do the challenges individually as some of the SA/SO using accidents or poisons are easier than close up sniper or fiber wire choices ~ the sniper challenges by themselves are actually substantially easier if done by themselves without caring about body found and being able to change disguise (at the cost of repeating the mission again)
It really just comes down to how many times you are willing to replay. I've done them both ways, but then again I'm 1000+ hours invested at this point and my challenges were 100% within the first week of game launch so I doubt I'm a typical example
