Actually second floor. He just sits in his room, you can get to it via the balcony.

This is one of those things that change from culture to culture. In Spain or GB we have a ground floor and then start counting. To be honest I'm not very consisten myself but I am aware of this "issue".

Anyway, yes, we have to go upstairs to find him!
