Have you ever actually bought the game? Or have you been playing for free?
If you purchased any edition of the game, simply look at your steam account history and it will tell you exactly what you bought under view purchase history or view licenses, depending on which list you prefer to read through:

Go to your Steam Account Details section, and check if you have the license for Hitman 2 Silver Edition.
Maximise Steam Window -> Click on Top Right extending menu with your name, next to the 3 symbols for minimise, maximise and exit -> This will extend a downwards menu, 'Account details' will be there. Click on it -> Click on "View licenses and product key activations" and press ctrl + f to bring up a search box. You can type 'Hitman 2' into the search box to quickly find the entry for it, and determine what type of Hitman 2 license you have.
