Haven Island feels a bit odd and rushed?
Now I understand that there's no public testing and understand that these sorts of things will have issues upon release...but there's some striking oddities here and there in both design and accident.

  • Like for example how when the storm comes in (very cool BTW) all the guests and Bradly still basking and exercising, I can accept the fact there may be limitations with the engine but it does break the immersion a little when you have this BIG incoming storm (almost like a tsunami) incoming and everyones all chill.

  • How that one guard to Bradley's sectioned off island (connceted by a small bridge) seems to have unpredictable omnipotence.

  • Oddly placed dialogue triggers, like that guy with the big belly getting he's back rubbed by he's wife outside the bar and how you have to be North of him (between the bar and restruant) to trigger the conversaiton.

  • For some reason the Water Horse mission story doesn't activate for me after Brad's had a conversation with CJ who looks after the water gear

  • And when you're in the Gym with the storm and music, it's just a utter cluster-F of audio that completely blares out any dialogue (and ties in to the cognitive disodence I mentioned.

  • You don't even need to read the note to call Vetrova

Anyways, I'm sure all the wrinkles will be ironed out and I quite frankly love this map, IMO the best so far, just wondering if I'm paranoid of if anyone else shares my grievences.

Indeed, this just looks like a normal tropical storm, it doesn't even grow to hurricane levels

I don't like the storm. Very loud. And the lighting is bad too.
The storm is unnecessary. Why did they add this?
What is the purpose of the storm to the gameplay?

Just enjoying the lovely SUNSHINE vacation. Suddenly the storm came.
The relaxing vacation atmosphere is ruined. The whole map is ruined.
When the storm came, I just want to exit the mission as fast as possible.
Just remove the storm please.

Alright then, what's the purpose of the sunshine to gameplay?

It creates variety and changes how you perceive the level entirely. No longer do you see it as this relaxing, vibrant area but instead a dark, depressing area that you're not used to, as a result you start to see these areas differently. The atmosphere changes and so does the mood and tension.

I thought the storm was a great touch in my opinion.

The lighting on this map is killing my eyes..and it looks low quality..unless i use reshade 4.2 with Sharpening & Colourfulness options applied..

Thanks for laying those out. Maybe the devs will get wind and fix a few of them.

I think the storm would have been more interesting if the world reacted to it and if it started raining. Obviously that's a ton of work and probably not feasible but I think it would have been cooler.

Oh my god. Thank you. Thank you so much!
Thank you for reminding me the advantages of the storm.
Now I think the dark and depressing atmosphere is much better than sunshine. Yes I love the tension now.
I was so stupid.

Sadly I think you're right but then I got to thinking of the Skyrim mod where NPC's go in to shelter on a mod of a ancient engine and inside when it begins raining and since if you set somthing dramatic off in Hitman 2 like a bomb then the crowd NPC's all evacuate to a specific area.

So I wouldn't put it too far out of the realms of possibity.

that game is like lego. as an trainer in the gym i have to "serve" people like as barkeeper. Yeah its rushed. I think ioi has a strict timeline and fixes, patches will come soon. for now its a little more funny like they just had no time. Btw i like the storm. What i dont like is that the storm never comes. It´s alway far away. No rain and stuff.

Haha yeah this guy was in a pool right next to the ocean when the storm was hitting hard and he goes "ahhh this is the life" or something like that.

After playing this level more, I do like the storm and all the crazy wind. I think the one thing that should be improved is the lighting. If your inside the lightning is still all weird. It's a little too washed out or something.

For the storm i can actually tell you thats kinda reasonable. My family stayed sunbathing during a rainstorm in florida. Rain pt ruining our holiday

That's not the same as being on a tiny island surrounded by the ocean.

i think they should stop with the monkey-see-monkey-do bodyguards, it's a bit ridiculous... it's damn near impossible to snipe the targets from the tower and get SA rating because of the bodyguards
There's a reason the sniper challenges don't require SA, body found is allowed

I personally like the storm. Most of the sunny maps have a certain "staleness" that seems artificial.
But I 100% agree that the blue shift lighting change when the bad weather hits is in need of tweaking. (Also, the HDR effect [not the HDR setting for monitors] overall is completely unrealistic. Smoother, faster adjustment to changing lighting would be nice.)

Edit: ...and this is using the reduced bloom mod. Dynamic lighting effects needn't be SO dynamic.
