Physic settings you use
Any recommended settings to not feel like a giant in the tiny world? Losing interest testing out what settings feel right. Would like to see what others use. Something closer to realism on speed / heights.

It's tricky finding that medium between jumping too high or not high enough and getting a good trick speed / flip timing.

depends on to much other settings that are working together so there is only trial n error :D

i tend to think the issue is with hang time. i fix that by raising gravity 1-2 notches and also raising high pop 1-2 notches. keeping both someplace around +11 or +12 were +10 is standard.

for me it allows me to get onto hand rails but also not really fly over them as much. i lowered push f orce to like +8 which took some getting used to as you really need to push to get past some gaps.

People are still allowed to discuss topics that YouTube made guides on. If you're the topics police, where's your badge?

You don't even have the game :| The hell you doing here?

Hi! It depends on what you mean by realistic, your personal experience? or mimic a pro? some pro jumps very high... and apart from the extreme there is no bad choice, I am at 11 but I modify according to the mission; gravity however I set it to 14, I like my character to come down heavily.
otherwise stand next to an obstacle that seems to have a resonable maximum height and adjust your settings, but frankly just more gravity changes the feeling of floating a lot.
other parameters adds a "feeling" (I mean it's quite subjective) of realism and remains quite related, such as the height of the jumps in nolli, manual or grind, the speeds of pushing, the alignment, ect ... but it remains a feeling
if you want a base, take the parameters of JLnightmare (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbetlZnGeLs) and adjust according to your preferences

i like what you said, i have a "slight" issue with "realistic montages" in the session community. like, yes, this is realistic if you are emulating chris cole. or neen williams. or nyjah houston.

like, seeing people do a bs flip over a full size trash can. im not saying people cant do that. but thats top tier pro skating.

and thats 100% fine but me personally. i like keeping my high pop around crotch height.

i can still skate curbs with relative ease as i try to emulate my level of skateboarding. but i also dont really do quests or challenges to much in game. so it doesnt matter much t ome.
drakk Apr 30, 2023 @ 2:02am
the realistic montages... I think it's above all a catchy title, some amuse me a lot but I think they remain legitimate on this game, much more than on skater xl or minecraft :steammocking:
something that would be useful and would give me an interest in using their virtual pro avatar, would be to set their default stats that correspond to their real stats, you could use your own stats if you wish, but by default they would have their own stats; today I just see their legs and it makes no difference whether it's Daewon Song's or my character's
beatles42o Apr 30, 2023 @ 4:58pm
ive honestly just been using the same avatar the whole time. i thought the female black girl had a good character model and was done well so i used her.

then when buying clothes i was like "well look at all this grove street green"

so im essentially a GTA:SA character skating around san fran.
