How much content is there here?
Is there a campaign / story mode?

How many hours of content?

Is there free roam?

Yes, there's a set of story missions to follow with a bunch of side missions along the way. It's hard to gauge how long it'd take you to go through everything as it's dependant on your skill level and how you intend to approach the game as a whole. How Long to Beat says about 18h for story + side content, tho.

Hours of content is also dependant on how you approach the game. You can get hundreds if not thousands of hours out of it, or you can get anywhere between 18 and 30 to go through the story and never look back. I find that most people who play Session past the refund period come back often, whether they only have good things to say about it or, like myself, reserve some criticism. Heck, between early access and now, I have about 150h and counting, though I don't play it as religiously as others.

The story is there mostly as fluff. The free roaming is the main attraction. Think Skate, but more grounded, far less arcadey. You can try, but you mostly won't be doing any insane tricks that look impossible irl... Unless you tweak the gameplay settings in the stats menu. There are loads of real-life spots to peruse and a handful of original ones. Additionally, you can use the object dropper to add to or make your own spots.

Just keep in mind that Session feels unfinished in many ways. There are no animations for getting on or off the board, going up or down stairs, etc. Most maps are boarded off to the outside world, as if someone closed off several streets just so that some lunatic could skate around. It's not a big deal if you don't think too much about it, but it's there. It might take you out of the experience at times if you expect the level of polish other skate maps get. Last but not least, there are unfinished features in the experimental menu, some of which have been there since early access.

Session has a lot to offer, but it'd be unfair to drag you in without mentioning that this is a 1.0 release in name only.

its a gabes review is spot on!

i only got sesion and 3 other games about 3ish days ago,ive spent around 16 hrs mostly practicing, its adictive once you work out what your doing. theres another level of freedom in sesion compared to sandboxed arcadey skate games like tony hawks & THUG-you control both feet on the board sepratly which will be hit or miss till you really 'feel' the controls. the ragdoll pysics make it interesting,i honestly prefer this game much more to PIPE for example. just a shame there is no open world multiplayer element, forgive me for the comparison but think of the open world elements in descenders.
