Also, instead of tabbing out of game get your phone and switch tracks on there. Just like you would do outdoors, I guess. ^^
I'd love to have som lofi or old school hip hop running while playing Session.
There's a legit argument to be made about the removal of the EA radio stations, but there's also no excuse not to turn off the game music and play whatever you want on Spotify.
There are even Session playlists on there that include a bunch of the EA songs. They might no longer be in the game, but you can still listen to them while playing.
Try this: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1Jtxih1yBSbRMwVo3QUBX9?si=6af2d43b991e415d
Whining about a very minor problem that you can easily solve yourself just makes you look like a fool.
or open Tidal & listen to lossless audiophile-grade mixes
You can do whatever the hell you want, you're playing on a PC
We don't know the cost or the terms. It could be the rights holder to the music no-longer wanted it included in the product. Could be the licence was given for free while the studio was indie but no-longer now they have a publisher. Or the studio while independent was happy to pay the licence cost then but the publisher isn't happy to foot that bill now. We just don't know, but the old playlists are still up on Spotify at least.
Under a large AAA publisher in games with large development & marketing budgets this stuff is almost trivial (until it comes to maintaining GTA radio stations 10 years later), but for small devs & publishers, it's significant.
All of the songs currently in the game are licensed, so it stands to reason that they removed many of the EA songs due to a change in direction. One thing OP said that holds a lot of truth is the possibility that those stations were removed in order to meet certain rating standards. The game is rated PEGI 12 here in the UK, which wouldn't be the case if many of those songs were still in the game.
The difference Nacon made is that they now call the shots, as they own crea-ture. It makes sense financially to not have a sports game be rated anything that could keep parents from buying it for their young kids.
Rum Commitee is a blast and a top notch choice imo
