I was quite confused about this as well, but what the game is trying to say is "treflip." It must be a skater thing for 360 flip and treflip to be the exact same trick, but the devs needs to realize that not everyone who might come to play Session is a skater irl, or even into the culture to the point where they understand the two terms as the same thing.

THANK YOU
I would have never figured this out myself. I skate and I've never heard a treflip called a 360 flip. Appreciate it my man <3

Same here!!!
I got confused at first hearing cople years ago (not in the game, but on yt) "treflip" as I realized that in any of the content I watched the guys were doing a 360 flip. The "tre" from "treflip" comes from the "3" from "360 flip", as it sounds similar and shorter. But only the board does the 360° movement.
For me, there is no backside/frontside shove-it (shuv-it), what the game (and lots of northern america skaters) called a "backside shuv-it" I named it a "preacher" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And so on...
So, I watched on you tube some braille's skateboarding video (for the "basics" tricks) as they slow-mo the trick and give it a name, or some Jhonny Giger video (for the most advanced one like the Hectop flip).

Ooookay. Taking those three comments, it uhm... Hum... It seems like Session needs to be localized come 1.0, which might be possible now that they're being published. Not cheap, but certainly possible. Other games that only get localized to one region but not the other tend to have the same issue.

For instance (and you can laugh if you want cuz I don't care, I like it and that's that), I've been playing the Style Savvy games (Style Boutique in Europe) for a few years now and either from the first or at some point around Trendsetters, Nintendo would only localize them for the UK and sell it that way in the US. I'm 100% positive that this happened with Styling Star. So, logically, some people were confused by what exactly a trouser was.

They might've doubled down as I don't remember seeing trainers on the latest entry, but it's still very much translated for the brits.

I don't think calling the trick a treflip on the guide and in-game and then calling it a 360 flip in the quest log is gonna be inclusive enough as it's clearly confusing, especially for non-skaters. I only ever cruised around when I was a kid and only started getting back into skateboarding games around the first half of last year, so I'm still learning trick names and whatnot. Therefore, this was extra confusing to me and as a newcomer to the culture, I'd rather learn the terms for one region at a time.

But then again, localizing it wouldn't be cheap. But I hope it's financially possible for them and the publisher once we're headed to 1.0.
