Why does this game have a "roguelite" tag?
Sure, you unlock new characters and episodes but that doesn't make the game easier in any way, it's just more content to complete. So tell me, is this considered a roguelite or is it just false advertising?

What do you mean "easier in any way"? That's not what a roguelite means. It's a roguelite in the way that when you play, you're going through a randomly generated run that doesn't take too long (about 20 minutes or so) with very little meta-progression

Yes it is. A roguelite is a roguelike but with progression. In roguelites you pick up stuff along the way that makes the next run easier. This game doesn't have that.

A roguelite is a roguelike but with progression. This game has that, you unlock characters and scenarios. You are then expanding this definition to something it is not.

No? That's not the definition of a roguelite at all. A roguelite is literally "a roguelike, but not quite".

Well, as I've already said here:

I don't think this game is considered a roguelite just because you unlock stuff, the stuff you unlock is just new content, not actual stuff that makes the game easier. If this game is considered a roguelite, basically every roguelike is considered a roguelite.

That's not what a roguelite is, also, this isn't the place to argue about definitions. If you want to argue about the definition of a roguelite, try https://www.reddit.com/r/roguelikes/.
