The Witch is the weakest character in the entire history of video games

Witch has a reusable two-handed sword that inflicts statuses. She has reusable equipment on demand and some of the most powerful equipment in the game. She's incredibly strong but incredibly difficult.

I haven't played with her much yet, but I absolutely steamrolled her first episode after one failed run where I was basically just figuring out how she works. I felt more in control during that run than in all the rest besides Warrior combined.

I think it's as much a mechanical preference as it is a learning curve.

Wait until episodes 4 and 6. You will feel the pain.

Hard mode is absurd.

I'm still doing pretty well with her so far. Definitely my favorite character!

The problem with Witch is that she is slow in the beginning, which is very punishing in the late stages. You need some time to set her up, but meanwhile, your opponent blasts you with damage away.

Exactly, that's how I'm feeling.

On my first play through with the witch, I found a combo where I kept adding dice to my next turn and then inflicting ice, fire, and shock. Combine this with duplicate and it is incredibly broken. Eventually my opponent got to 2 HP and couldn't do anything without KOing itself, whereas I wanted to see how many dice I could stack, which my record was +42. Absolutely ridiculous, but if you have the right rolls and spells, you can steamroll others after a few rounds of buildup.

IMO, the Robot was the hardest. Basically play Blackjack to roll? Nope.

If somebody could help me out with Witch episodes 4 and 6, that would be super helpful.
I've finished every other character up to this point, but not getting anywhere with eps 4 and 6.

I agree. As I played through I went back and forth on who the worst was in this game. I hated the thief at first with his focus on low numbers. I didn't like the robot at first but he ended up being who I first completed all episodes with. I thought the Jester was the worst because of his real strength really only coming from his limit break and feeling even more annoying than the thief. I got over all of that, and the Witch is firmly in the worst character slot for me.

I don't find her difficult. I just don't feel her damage output is enough and it makes her tedious to play rather than fun. It wouldn't be a problem if she started with more dice or got a mandatory dice upgrade rather than it just being an option. What's even the point of choosing a prepared slot over the extra dice? After one turn the benefit of it is gone. Unless you have a reusable attack half your dice are always going to go towards reactivating spells

I failed on the Witch Elimination Rounds 119 before I finally beat it. I feel you.

For level 4, I used the 'divide a dice in two' in 6. And the 'duplicate a dice' in 1.
Put the duplicate for turn 1.
That let you consistently choose which roll you do for every dice each turn as soon as you get one 6 (and not only high numbers (>=4)).

That means, you can put the +1 dice, one defensive power (armor is best since i don't believe there is some heal), and the rest can be whatever. Either some high damage if you lack of armor, or some control, like freeze or shock.

Start by adding more dices, then adding some armor (and freeze or shock if it's useful), and finally damage him.

And I have a question, is there any build/gameplay which are better in some cases in hard mode except by scaling the number of dices, and stall forever to be full life and exasperation ready?
Witch... Isn't really fun :(

She could be fixed if her level one granted spells (Burning Light, Electric Shock, Ice Shard, Sonic Wave) included Healing Crystal and Drain Life, with one of the last two guaranteed to go with the four more offensive spells. I'd even add shield in with this so the player can more accurately plan for the rest of the spellbook to be fleshed out. If you guys agree with me, please flood my thread above with some positive vibes so the dev can make this change for the playerbase, as the witch has turned me into a masochist with this game. Thx.:steamdeadpan:
