Lady Luck - 1st Try.
I beat this one on my first try after grinding away at Witch 4 for quite some time. Not sure if the stars aligned or what, but it happened. Also I chose Warrior and only lost two or three companions on my journey to Lady luck. It is a very interesting and well thought out final fight and I can see how it could go south real fast. Anyone having trouble with this?

Did it first try also few days ago, after completing all 36 episodes. Won it with robot but I'm not sure the chosen character makes any difference (I will replay it at some point after finishing hard modes).

I found the battle very well thought and balanced. finished beating lady luck with robot as my last character. Was a close call but she also had 220HP with Vacuum rule if I remember correctly.

Yeah I have to move along to hard mode now as well. The character you select just seems to have a decent, but not OP load out. Warrior had dodge roll as usual. A shield option (Any dice so you could put up 6 armor a lot of the time) and an attack that maxed at 5.

witch is just horribly unbalanced is all, sure theirs a luck factor, but it shouldn't take me 20 trys to finally get lucky and beat it with her, but her spells for bonus round and episode 5 (i think i don't remember) with mana are actually a little broken, how is lvl 5 and 6 easier then lvl 1?

Here we're speaking about the backdoor episode.

But if you already struggle with level 1 of witch, you probably need to rethink your strategy. Yes she's hard, and mistakes often kill at high level (but not at level 1!).

A few features such as preview of spells during fight and possibly the ability to reorder spells in between battles could help avoid silly mistakes, but she is not unbalanced.

No, the main comment even says "I beat this one on my first try after grinding away at Witch 4 for quite some time" and that was what i was talking about, about how horribly balanced witch is.

the witch basically only has 1 consistent way of making it through "with a bit of luck" is having 4 prepped slots " dice change, magic missle, shield, inferno" using the 2 highest dice to damage with inferno, cauldron for switching out 1-2 dice rolls, and magic missle/shield for odd/even.

this helped me beat all her first levels, however her lvl's requiering "mana" where much easier because everything their was more balanced with more strategy paths that were viable, took me 2 tries to get familer with it and win over the 30 tries of lvl 1, lvl 2 and 3 only needed 3-4 tries because i stuck to the only strategy that worked in those levels.

Sure theirs other strategies however they aren't consistent due to a lot of people constantly losing with witch, or a similar concept that just deals dps. No poison shenanigans, No gimmicks to have fun with such as locking dice/ just attack and end turn. Might as well call it the warrior 2.0

Unbalanced doesn't mean that they suck, witch does have better moves in most cases, however that only applies to a few, when a character has 20 moves and everyone winning is using the same 5 because the others suck, that's what makes things unbalanced and boring,

their will never be a time where i use meteor over inferno.

One thing I repeatedly take when given the option is the dice instead of another prep or upgrade slot. It makes the difference, when every round is another potential attack or slot prep. Having prep slots is nice but it really only matters for the first turn or second if your luck is bad. To beat eps 4 and 6 I never took an upgrade slot. I ended up with 3 prep slots and 1 extra dice. I change out my prepped skills every battle to give me any edge possible in the late game fights.

Honestly I don't agree with you @DoT I got through all episodes with different builds. Died 9 times within first 4 episodes. As for slots I never tried full prepared slots, but I won with the extra dice as mentioned by RoX0ra, also won with upgraded slots only, and also with a mix of both.

I agree though that it's not necessarily the most fun character to play with. Since you can't easily swap things around the fights get repetitive through the dungeon as you must stick with the choices made. And her fights tend to last longer. And true, she lacks some fancy abilities that others would get, but if she had them she would be too powerful.
