Of course, the nature of probability is that sometimes it won't work out. That's just how it is. The game is literally about dice rolls after all.
This setup could rather easily breeze through the episode and mitigate most of the rng, through cleverly disposing of dice into spatula the first thing I did I had a high probability of triggering the curse on that, after which iI could use my rerolls and bumps to freely setup the rest of my dice to do as much damage as possible.
There were a few rough turns where I didn't trigger curse on spatula and had to resort to triggering on bump, and a few even rougher turns where it didn't even trigger on bump, but the stability of the setup in general was enough to greatly mitigate any losses from those turns.
Extra bonus: seeing as this setup ends up with 4 attacks that I want to use, and 5 dice at the end, I had barely any loss of damage potential when the spatula ate a dice due to curse.
TL;DR: Get a lot of multi-use items that either do good effects no matter what kind of dice, or prepare your dice and use them to trigger curse as quickly as possible so you can use your big boy items without any worry.
