I'm finally free, witch hard mode victory

Witch hard mode is insanely difficult, the problem is that you need very specific equipment to even stand a chance against most normal enemies. I got ice shard as my level up spell which is the best in the pool of spells it can give you. Found a bronze cauldron quickly, next i found sunburn in a shop to deal with yeti, snowman and later paper knight easily and in general other enemies that are strong against freeze or don't care if they are frozen like the sorceress. Then i found gladioli which allowed me to increase my dps output significantly by rerolling a lot with fruit bowl making fights usually take only 2 or 3 turns. On the final floor i got the single best spell for the witch, harvest scythe and victory was basically guaranteed.

The wolf puppy(?) modifier also helped a lot. Not only did it break crystalinas ai and she just didn't attack me at all, but aside from that i used my double attack way more efficiently than the ai in general. I also got very lucky with the other modifiers: 10% extra hp, can't see enemy hp after first turn and enemies get a rock are all very low impact.

I like the witch in general but the randomness on hard mode is just a little too much. I think she needs more opportunities to get spells because i find myself often skipping over most spells.

Yeah I agree. Shes a fun character but damn do enemies chew threw her

I have hard beaten on every character, but her, and just don't think I will unless With is patched again. Just unbalanced and super random and inflexible compared to all other characters. Congrats on getting the win here, and thanks for sharing her build.

Elimination round is easier because the spells you get are way better. I won with blizzard + shock build iirc.
