anything about game engine?
did you use the same engine as in shovel knight, or built something else? Or used some third party stuff (like unity or gms)?

I made a game in Construct 2. It's not nearly as good as MekaSkull's. He's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ master.

It's not bad but there can be performance issues if you have too many game objects.
I made a game with it and really enjoyed using the engine.

just like in any modern engine, designed to be accessible for non-programmists? Gamemaker has the same issue, rpg maker, unity

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to point out even though it is made in construct 2 it is being ported using a c++ runtime called chowdren. Here is the link with information about it: https://www.construct.net/en/forum/construct-2/general-discussion-17/chowdren-fast-construct-134395

pretty much identical to catmaze, which launched with some terribel optimization, controls, and they had no clue how to handle junk assets being unloaded.
