Map issues

My map is covered with tiles of ocean & desert, is anyone else having a similar issue?

I am having similar problems: when I have the map zoomed out to the purely political mapmode, I get something like this:

But when I zoom in to anything closer, I get this:

I've tried swapping graphics settings from Highest to Lowest, and I've tried changing the program resolution, but this hasn't fixed it. Unfortunately, I can't make a bug report on the Paradox forums because their login system is down.

Yep, i'm still trying to figure out what the hell is going on & how to bloody fix this, as it's pretty unplayable like this...

I can't even zoom in into the map or move the map in any way or form. Which is pretty ridiculous.

got the same bug, and we cant tell em beacuse we cant logg on to the servers haha

Pathetic really isn't it, i paid 45 quid for this game, although i love Paradox & normally can't complain this time i really will as i've waited all day to play this & now where i am it's 12:05AM....

I just wanna play the damn game & not feel like a pleb.

Yeah, same ♥♥♥♥ as always with Paradox. How many DLCs will it take this time to make this ♥♥♥♥ playable? Pathetic.

Nope. I'm still verifying Steam files, just in case that fixes it. Heck, I still can't even log onto the Paradox forum in order to see if there's a fix in the Bug Reports section.

I do love how the Steam refund policy discourages attempting to troubleshoot a newly-bought game though: apparently I've spent 34 minutes in-game either loading to see if a change helped or trying to fiddle with settings. If I spend too long trying to "fix" a game, I guess I can't get any money back :-(.

Just tried it & it didn't work for me .

I've just seen an update on the discussions board from Paradox saying not to worry.... They're fixing multiplayer capabilities! Wooohooo!...... Useless, who cares about multiplayer right now, most people can't even play single player.

But give me a shout if you do figure anything out, i'll also post here if and when i find a fix.

I don't believe we'll be able to get a fix today/tonight if i'm honest, they're too concerned about helping the people who already can play access multiplayer.

I see that the mods are moving a bunch of threads to the Tech Support subforum. Would one of you good folks mind moving this one as well?

@Funky Fascist: Unfortunately, I'm not finging any good fixes for the graphics bug. I've tried updating drivers, so I'm basically out of options. I'm guessing it's an incompatibility with certain drivers or hardware pieces.

So even though there has been a thread created on the paradox forum we've still got no answer or any closer to fixing this issue but i find it hard to believe that my hardware isn't good enough as it runs HOI4 / CK2 perfectly well?

If it is because of handling the performance of the game then i'm still pretty annoyed as Paradox could add more graphic options like there other games, maybe turn of clouds, ect, ect.

If it's still unplayable by tonight & i can't find a fix, i'll be having to request a refund.
