This game is better then CK 3, espcially with Invictus
AI can actually do something and game mechanics are better, also map.

What can AI do it cannot in CK3? Because AI feels as dead as in any other Paradox game to me.

no, it's not, especially with a psedo-latin mod.
I dont use that mod but this game is an empire builder. So it's better at that.

I like your enthusiasm regardless of my own thoughts. Yes, I do believe that Invictus makes the game better, but this is my subjective opinion, something adult people seem to struggle with nowadays (meaning: your opinion, or mine, is not a fact).
Have fun with the game and dont mind the pseudo trolls.

Objectively, no. They are not even close. CK3 is miles ahead in QoL, interface, mechanics, flavor and sheer content.

That's normal considering Imperator received basically no support or expansions. It could have been fantastic. Still it's pretty good. Maybe some day Paradox will revisit ancient history and not blow it.

I haven't played CK3, but I am liking Imperator a lot even without mods, and chose to buy it over CK3 because it's way more accessible to buy the full game for Imperator. :leftamark:
Imperator has secured a nicer spot in my library compared to ck3. The little I’ve played of both doesn’t mean much, but ck3 seemed much shallower and more of an rpg simulator. This game has a more serious tone, and more of an economic basis from what I can tell. EU4 has too much content for me to enjoy….i know some purist is going to scorn me for saying that. The UI in this game is better than EU4 by a long shot, but sub par to CK3. The events bloat your screen in imperator while ck3’s layout seems more streamlined. EU4 has little to no built in wiki which makes balancing modifiers and stats almost grueling. Imperator with invictus is enough to keep me occupied for a few thousand more hours. Glad I picked up both games, while happier with the money spent on imperator.
DLC ruined EU4 imo.So much fiddle for %.Imperator being clean and streamlined is a strength.

Pretty much that, IR has actually some nice mechanics ment to abstractly simulate the time-period while CK3... weird nonsensical tech-system that simulates... idk... being different? Again medieval states with standing armies (yes there are levies but they are rubbish), not to mention just two starting times and freely makeable claims... etc. pretty much everything that made CK2 good was thrown into the crapper.
It DOES have a better designed interface and it does have a small amount of nice basic ideas but thats it.

And my personal sentiment is pretty much that of ashbery, Imperator feels clean and streamlined, it could have had used some more difference between the different nations / cultures but it doesn't need the bloat of whatever-we-can-think-of the later pdx games have (YES looking at you 3D-throneroom....)

I have over a thousand plus hours on CK3 across multiple pcs and i love that game but it lacks so much and its a really poorly signed game in many ways, there are so many mechanics in IR that i just wish would be in CK3 and it would be so much better.

IR has the potential to easily be the best Paradox game and could easily get there if they just had the resources.
