The popularity of the game Imperator Rome is growing
Hello everyone, dear players of the wonderful and exciting Imperator Rome game. Thanks to your boost, the rating of the game is growing, which means that a new full-fledged DLC may be released. I'll try to explain how the gaming industry works. There is a company that creates games and there are sponsors who invest in the development of the game. Sponsors will not invest in projects that are not profitable for them. Therefore, to get the sponsors interested, we need to show that we are really, really looking forward to the new DLC. If there is a demand, there will be a new DLC.

The developers read all the posts and draw a conclusion

But is there a favorite Imerator Rome game in our community? There are those who don't want developers to release new DLC. They start writing negative messages saying that the game is bad and that the developers won't do anything. Thereby destroying the attempt to get new DLC for the game from respected developers. Remember, friends, that those who put a stick in the wheel, they did not even understand all the mechanics of the game. We purchased the game to put it in an unfavorable light. They're glad there won't be an extension. There aren't many of them. Some write from different accounts purchased on the black market. But true gamers who respect the game and the developers will win! The game is becoming more popular every day. Every time there are good reviews about the game. And if this goes on, then the developers will pay attention and finally release a new DLC.

I already wrote in one of the posts what a unique game it is. The post is called "WOW! Top 10 advantages of why the game is successful IMPERATOR ROME!"

I want to thank the gamers once again who help promote the game. Thus, we are bringing the new DLC closer. Let me remind you that the developers wrote that returning to the game when the triggers are completed is a positive feedback about the game, a purchase, and enough people are playing Imperator rome.

We also continue to write excellent reviews on various platforms, write to developers by email with a request to release a new DLC

The developers draw a conclusion to work on something based on sales data and the number of players. Not forum posts. There have been many forum posts since 2021 that requests they continue to work on the game.

But the numbers don't lie:

The game was averaging around 2,000 concurrent players when they stopped work on it. I assume because it wasn't worth the investment. The game is now averaging about 1,000 concurrent players.[steamcharts.com] Please explain how they stopped working on it with 2,000 people but with 1,000 players it would make sense to start working on it again.

You said it yourself:

...and enough people are playing Imperator rome.

Clearly, if player counts are half of what they were when they canceled it, enough people are not playing the game to make it profitable for them.

Please argue the point above. I am not saying the game is bad, or that I don't understand the game's mechanics. The quality of the game is not in question.

Here is the first person who is against the add-on for this wonderful game. Who will come up with various tricks to prevent the addition from coming out. I've already written 100 times to stop burning the game. The game only needs to be maintained.

Lol, so...no response to the actual argument? Instead you gaslight. I've stated in other posts a new DLC would be welcome, but you keep lying about it. I've also done nothing to burn the game. Pointing out the factual player counts isn't "burning the game." It's stating reality.
If you really want a new addition, you better help. The game needs a boost. The more people learn positive things about the game, the more people will play, and the faster the DLC will appear. People who can't even imagine what kind of emerald it is. This is a historical game. Where can you play the role of any nation in ancient times

That we agree on. Unless the player counts substantially improve, I don't see any chance for a future DLC.
Guy, noone is against getting new DLCs, but you're just daydreaming and wasting your energy.

It would need a huge boost in player count for Paradox to pay attention to the game again and consider making new DLC. The team that developped the game is now on other projects and only a few motivated individuals worked on the patch on their free time as a gift to the community.

It's not being negative, just being realistic. The game is still alive thanks to the Modding Community, so if you want new content, look that way and/or learn to Mod to contribute by yourself, that would be a lot more useful than posting here...
Was looking around to evidence that the devs promised to work on the game if it became popular enough. Closest I found was this:

Captain_Narol once again I am writing to me the opinion of people who do not respect is not necessary. If you have an opinion on what not to do. Don't make a minecraft game. And please do not interfere with the work of others. Every time someone writes a negative, the chances of releasing a new dls decrease. If that amuses you, then it's called destroying the game. Write only positive things!

Indeed, and the Patch 2.0.5 referenced in that quote is the one we just on April 24 this year, they never talked about releasing new DLCs as far as I know...

We got lucky even to get that patch, as peak CCU never broke the 3K wall those last years (max was 2708 in March 2024 and under 1100 since June 2024).

I expect a small surge for May 2025 with the patch but I doubt we will even go over 2K.

The OP's enthousiasm is cute but simply utopic at this point. It's a niche game in a game category that is already niche and definitely not a priority for Paradox leadership.
Let's improve the indicators. There are good reviews about the game right now. If you don't write any nonsense about the game. First of all, many people don't know that the user-friendly interface is beautiful now. Fixed bugs. Yes, it's a difficult game, but if you understand the game, it will become something new for you. If you are not used to difficulties, then there are children's games for you! If you consider yourself a brutal male or a beautiful female. Then help move the game along. And the developers will see that they urgently need to release DLC. I'm writing again if you don't believe me, if one bug from the game is a disaster for you, if you don't understand the beauty of the game, please do not interfere with the community to work on the developers to release a new DLC. After the release of EU 5, some developers will be released to supplement Imperator Rome.

For example, I wrote to the director of PARADOX with a request to release DLC. I think if everyone writes to him, there will be an effect!

That you will get either a restraining order or sued.

Good luck though.
There is a working mail. Shared on the Internet email. Although this is probably a good attempt, well, it seems to me that even if a lot of people write, it won't really affect anything. Because all sponsors decide. And in order to interest sponsors, you need to show the success of the game. In general, if you leave good comments and log into the game at least 2-3 times a week, it will increase the chances of a new DLC release.
Also, when there is a discount, who has not bought the game, purchase the game. The game is challenging, but interesting! You'll have to study it, but once you do, you'll be happy.

My dude, its great that you love this game, but it is obvious even to blind freddy that it will NEVER get another DLC. But it does not stop you from playing it as it is if you like it so much! Another option is learn to mod and create your own "DLC", because that is the only reality where this game will ever have new content, from modders.

And then maybe in 20+ years PDX think to revisit the ancient era and make a sequel, which is not impossible...
algame. If you read above, I wrote. Write only positive things. No need to express your disbelief. Work is currently underway to raise the rating of the game. To ensure that new players leave more positive feedback. And the posts that you write why, why, not to get involved, to play as it is, leave it for yourself. The whole community is really looking forward to the new DLC for the super game Imperator Rome, we are doing our best! If you are also waiting, please help. If not, please do not interfere. Not everyone will play mods, as other people develop mods. For example, Half Life 3 will be developed by people who make games for mobile devices for children. Would you enjoy playing this? I think not!
I'd rate your steam forum lobbying effort for another DLC as more downside than upside.

And frankly that's being generous because I suspect the real impact of this steam forum on a PDX decision around another DLC is non-existent.
