Opinions on the new UI?

I gotta say that I don't dig the new UI. It may look prettier but overall the amount of clicks needed to do a simple thing is insane. Is it just me? I mean I haven't played Imperator for a while so can't even say I was used or attached to the other UI but just having started a new game this one just doesn't feel right...

There's a few extra clicks because some stuff is now grouped into tabs, yes.

But I find those extra clicks are a pretty fair price to pay in exchange for having a much more readable interface with things grouped in a way that makes more sense.

I do think it still needs further improvements, like more shortcuts and better tooltip linking, but it's a major step in the right direction already.

The ui is nice. Wish it had fewer tooltips, but it is way streamlined.

There is a GUI scaling option in the Settings. Doesn't it help?

I do not like how much eyestrain I have with the current UI. I feel like there is a lot of clashing of bright colors and some texts are impossible to read. Am I the only person who tried to change religious deities? Yeah, good luck reading that ♥♥♥♥ ass green text on cyan.

I also hate all the non-essential text in tooltips. I wish to the good Lord above someone would strip all text and leave only what the button does making it FAST to understand what exactly it is my choice made.

edit: Did the tooltip box size take a viagra and grow like 100% larger because it often blocks neighboring buttons making it a headache to see what is around my cursor. I don't know about others but I am better able to move my mouse horizontal versus vertical making this UI harder on my arm to constantly go up and down the list rather than side to side.

I feel like a UI should be akin to putting on sunglasses during a sunny day. They don't get in the way and help me see better rather than blocking my damn vision altogether. This UI is in my way. I want to see the world not my UI.

It would be great to just adjust the sizes of those icons of map than just the whole UI. Otherwiese the UI is fine for me. :)

absolutely STUNNED, It's BEAUTIFUL, and I don't say that often about a games UI, I can usually pick them apart for lacking or missing functionality, but this is damn near perfect!

I am trying to get used to the new UI - I like that they have icons for the cities, ports and provincial capitals clearly on the map. I hate the diplomacy UI changes. It's more clicking and dragging than it was before. I want to be about to left click on a country and easily fabricate on it. I now have to scroll down to find it and then scroll again to click it. This wasn't a probably before. I'm also not a huge fan of the levies at the moment.. because I play tribal and I now can't choose my army style.

80% or 70% size of UI icons on map is great for me but that also reduces the text size, which isn't quite fun for me. You should have a way to put them on and off. And why your own navies aren't displayed under your military tap on UI? Your allies shows blue in the map, but neutrals and enemies shows just different shades of red. :O

it would be kinda nice if they kept it as a option or something cause this is JARING and im actualy having a hard time finding stuff

I never thought I would see a gamer say "wish there were fewer tooltips." I've always asked for tooltips, the more the better. LMAO!
