Province is destroyed when conquered
I'm playing whith an Irish tribe and when I try to unite the island by war, my enemies provinces desapear when the seige is over. Why is that happening? It doesn't seem to have a pattern because some times it only becomes striped

I am not sure I am understanding your problem.

What I am understanding is that, once the battle/siege gets over, the enemy loses some 'territory' and that 'territory' becomes 'unclaimed' 'no-mans territory' meaning it appears in 'grey' colour.

If that is the case, just colonise that territory with your coloniser.

It is possible that the enemy 'territory' is left with only 'freemen' or 'slaves' and all citizens and nobles died.

Yes, that's precisely the case. The problem with colonization is that I'm playing with a tribal nation with only 2 pops and I can't colonize like this. Is there some way to prevent the killing of these nobles?

>> Just move slaves into the border terrotity, you need 8 pops and atleast one non-slave pop for colonising the bordered no-mans territory you are eying.

>> About preventing killing of selected class of people, I have no idea.

>>One more tip, do not worry about the 'no-mans territory' formed during or at the end of the war, AI will rarely claim it again. You claim them at your leisure. (in case of present day UK & Ireland)

>> In Ireland, the culture will be Hibernian, so you do not have to worry about the dominant culture also.

Thanks, I will take this in to consideration

There are some techs and trads that grant you some pops, usually when you play any bigger nation those aren't really a big benefit, but starting as an irish tribe with 6 pops, the first one can kinda double your population.^^

And what Jiggy said about moving slaves into the border-territory is correct but as a tribe you can also move your tribesmen-pops (wich you most likely have more of at the start) making colonization pretty easy as long as you have the money to move and colonize. (wich actually can be a consideration being that tiny^^)

could be that your either killing last pop or enslaving the pop

When you siege a province or the capitol of an enemy, there's a random chance you kill a single Population count (and maybe low odds for killing 2), and then if you are doing a full siege against a fortress/capitol, that after the siege is won the game gives you a stratified set of options to at the low end be "...Gentle" (which denies killing Pops), or more and more killing of enemy Pops -- do not take those options to kill off the Pops in a low-population region, especially in the early game.
