How good is the game with the Invictus mod

thinking of buying the game because I love the roman empire period. I heard paradox indefinitely abandoned the game so i've been a little Skeptical , but now that the games on sale i might actually pick it up. How good is the invictus mod? Does it save the game in your opinion?

This game isn't set during the Roman Empire. This ends in 27 BCE which is when the Roman Empire starts historically. This is set during the Roman Republic. Quite the difference.

I do recommend this game if you like the Roman Republic, even without the Invictus mod. It's thematically really cool.

If you really want the Roman Empire, then I recommend checking out one of the Crusader Kings 3 mods such as The Fallen Eagle. It's set during the fall of Rome but who knows... maybe you can save it.

I just bought it, played for 3 hours and i can simply say its a good game. Well worth the money, specially on sale.

I've just finished my first Invictus campaign. It was good, enjoyed it a lot. Still somewhat too easy once you start blobbing, but I find the gameplay loop, various systems and overall realm management extremely satisfying.

I loved it, but my game always ended when it became unstable and just crashed. I envy those who can finish a campaign without it crashing on them.
