Culture integration, religion and events
I don't know if I am the only person who thinks this but I think the culture machanics and religion are to bland and it think that the events you get should be more dynamic.

1. Culture
I like the fact culture pops get a certain base of culture happines depending on there pop culture but I do think there should be more modifiers. Now it is so that when I integrate a freeman pop culture into a citizen all other intgrated pop cultures get mad and they stay that way. What I would wan't is system that is more gradual it doesn't makes sense in my opinion that the noble integrated pops would become as mad as the citizen intgrated pops because a new citizen integrated pop culture wouldn't infringe on the noble integrated pop culture as much as on the other citizen integrated pop cultures. I also don't like the fact that the modifiers stay the same because it is based on how many integrated cultures you have and for how long they are integrated. It doesn't makes sense that integrating a culture makes the other cultures mad and that they stay as mad about that fact from the moment there integrated to the moment the game ends( in a game that spans hundreds of years) and the most weird thing is that the newly integrated culture is as mad about the fact that there are other preceding integrated cultures as the preceding cultures for those same hundreds of years. Another weird thing is that the cultures who are not promoted don't get a negative modifiers and I would presume that people would be mad at the fact other people would get promoted instead of them. I therefore would like a mechanic that is more dynamic and makes those modifiers go to an equilibrium that takes in acount the normalisation that would be happening over time. The height of the equilibrium would then depend on the level of integration from slave to noble, inovations, cultural events, culture group and decisions/rights such as the right of intermariage. The equilibrium system works a little bid like the estates in eu4.

2. Religion
Religion has the same problem as culture it is to bland. I like the fact that you can change deities in you pantheon but there should be more modifiers when you do so. Change your deity to a deity from another religion should give a huge nagative modifier to your omen power and a negative modifiers to your religious happines this would scale down to zero or a realy smal amount over a certain period, it also should make pops from the religion you get the new deity from a little bid more happy because you use a deity from there religion it should also give them a smal bonus to conversion because they at least pray to at least pray to one of the same deity. This scales of course depending on the amount of deities from one or the other deities. A pantheon with 2 helenic and 2 celtic deities with helenic as the state religion would give 2 smal bonuses to celtic pops in that state for the conversion to the helenic religion and would give two or one negative modifiers to the omen power and state religious happines depending on time that is past since the change. In my opinion this makes for a lot more of a dynamic way to play where you can balance short term pain and long term gain. Ps. You could make it so that the buffs you get from the deities who are not part of your state religion for example the two celtic deities in a hellenic state religious pantheon are a little bit nerfed if that makes for a more balanced aproach.

3. Events
In my opinion the current events are to random. I would personally like more events that take for account the state of the country the stats of the characters involved and there traits. I my last game I had a character who had the trait disceplined he had a very low charisma stat and a high religious stat and a beautiful wife and despite of that a got 3 events within 8 years of him fathering a child outside of wedlock and no he didn't had the trait lustfull. This made me feel that events are random and don't take in acount for characters traits and stats and the situation of the country. You could have a stable country with a good ruler and only have bad event after bad event and a stability of 5 a legitemacy -40 a ruler that has 0 2 0 1 stats and you had a good event after a good event. This makes the event feel to random and if it doesn't makes me feel it is random it makes me feel that I get punished for doing great and get handheld when I am doing ♥♥♥♥ and that doesn't makes for good gameplay in my opinion. Where events could be dynamic and ad a lot of content and rpg to youre run it now almost makes me want there to be a adblocker only then for event pop-ups because now there only there to force me to do something orher than being busy playing my nation/tribe and watch to a glorious expanding state on one of the most beautiful parodox grand-strategy maps.

If the a parodox devs reads this I didn't take the time to type this to ♥♥♥♥ on the game I realy like IR but I do think it is a gem with a lot of potential and I hope this gives someone a good ideas to implement in the game or perhaps a mod

for the religion question, is balanced and it damages your conversion speed by a lot, having 2 deities from a different religion would mean 50% less conversion speed nation wide, and it compromise happiness and stability of the provinces because religion is the number 1 cause to unhappiness and same it goes for culture conversion (-30% pop of a different religion) which cause instability overall, and it means to pacify a province in this conditions would need too many buildings and traded goods to keeps the pop happy and prevent the rebellion (i think there is a malus even with a governator of a different culture)

for the events, they are kinda random (you get stability events when is too high or too low) but for the most part they are random or stricly designed for a trait, like corrupt or silver tongue (random friend chance with a ruler of an other nation) in the end is paradox, they are a lottery event in all of his games (which is normal if oyu think that you cant design 300 years of events triggered by something you do or conquer)

the scripted event are the missions, you do them to improve a province or discover a new deity

if you want more events charater based go play ck3 (in my opinion ck2 is a league above) but for the most part i kinda hate the damned governators changing the province interaction all the damned times or choising a useless one (like pop conv in a 100% converted province or never switching to culture conversion for god knows why)
