If I don't take into account this, Imperator it's the most comfortable game. It feels really nice to play it + it looks really good + the performance is fantastic + and it's the only Paradox's game that I like to watch someone else play it.
Edit: I forgot to say that this is definitely the most relaxing Paradox's game. An the music helps a lot ( in general Paradox's game ost is awful and boring, Sengoku and Imperator are the only game that I really like. CK3 is good but repetitive.
???
Why would you type something like this except to bully people?
For one, stopping at the end of the Republican era feels so incomplete. Obviously, this was deliberate. Paradox will eventually release a DLC expansion going beyond that point. Yeah, you can probably get a mod to do this now, but Paradox will add some pretty little sprites, change some mechanics then perhaps they'll maybe even spoon feed the final Goth, and Hungarian barbarian threats, all the while suckering all the "got to have it right now" buyers to open their wallets with each little expansion release DLC for an additional inflated price.
If you're smart and patient, you'll wait for the sales (like the last one a month or so ago) and slowly accumulate the game expansion and update components while waiting for the game to truly flesh out into what it should have been on initial release (for the full initial asking price they wanted)
As much as I dislike it, I think you are right. This is exactly what is going to happen.
I come form an EU4 background and it is really hard to adapt to these RPG elements. Same for CK.
The end date makes sense, the game covers a specific period with its advancements and changes, going to the "AD" would require significant changes (which may be interesting don't get me wrong). As far as I know there's never been a DLC to extend the campaign after the end date.
I suggest you actually read a post before quoting it. Try again. Read it real slow, Tell me where my statement infers that there is currently a DLC to extend the campaign. I said that they will EVENTUALLY release a DLC going beyond the current end point.
This is in line with what they've done with all their other games, releasing additional expansions changing the starting and/or end dates, adding some pretty little sprites, changing some mechanics, all the while milking all the suckers for more additional "new" release DLC money.
Edit: looks like the only one is EU3, with an extension of 32 years.
If you honestly believe, they (Paradox), will skip the opportunity to expand Imperator: Rome with a future high priced DLC beyond the end date and into the Imperial era of Rome, I've got a bridge to sell you.
