Abandoned?
Wait a second.. they abandoned this right? No more future updates?
Or am I wrong?
If paradox did abandon this then why isn't this information available on the store or 1st pinned page in the discussions or it's there but I'm not seeing it?
Hello?

Hello?

A game receiving continuous updates and DLC is not a requirement for it to be sold on Steam. I am not sure what your point is.

Hello?

Would you buy a game that the developers have said they gave up on?

They say that they have ceased any work on it THIS year but I'm not holding my breath with Victoria 3 around the corner.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

That can be easily interpreted as them dropping the game, which unfortunately may well be the case.

Oh yeah my bad I forgot it's not an early access game.
It's so bare bones I thought it was early access xd

Dunno what game you are playing but Imperator: Rome is not barebones at all.

Considering the game keep losing players in droves, yeah, this game is abandoned.

The specific dev diary mentioned that the Imperator: Rome team has been redeployed to help out with the studio's other projects but that they intend to get back to IR at some point in the future. Whether that will actually happen or not - I don't think anyone knows tbh, probably not even the teams themselves

DLC sales are how they pay for the development time spend on those updates.
Considering what Paradox is doing and maintaining right now, Imperator is FOR NOW the last in line for their massive strategy games.
Which hey, is obviously going to change in the future; and the game is not "dead", that's for sure.

Hello?

Well u can't really call a DLC an update, updates r only bug fixes, but i doubt anyway anyone will give any spoilers on what they have in development, but from what i have seen they only throw a couple of 1 or 2 new things, change map a bit, and keep u going around the same old "achievements and missions", wich in my opinion is kinda bullshiet.

Welcome to paradox where in their mind a full game in reality is an early access title and dlc is an update.

The game is dead. The population declines prove it. It is almost 70% of what it was at peak since 2.0's launch. The last three days have seen a steady 2% drop per day. This game is bleeding out, and Paradox won't want to fix a game that's been bleeding for over a year.

There was a big patch today but no notes
