New at paradox games
Hi!

I've just bought this game. I already own the other games of paradox and i don't pretty much know what to do on them. Can anyone tell me wich game of paradox is the easiest one to begin with? I'd really appreciate your help.

I'd recommend starting with the one that is in the setting that interests you the most. The most fleshed out ones are EUIV and CK2. Vicky and HoI III and IV are somewhat more complex to start with. Stellaris and Imperator are somewhere in the middle (with less expansions and extra mechanics). All have their upsides and downsides. Imperator being a newer release with less expansions means it has less extra mechanics to wrap your head around but, it had a rough launch and is a bit of a hybrid drawing ideas from a number of different PDX games (characters like in CK2, pops from Vicky, some of the military stuff from EUIV). I find EUIV and CK2 to be the most immersive myself but stellaris in the early game while exploring the galaxy is quite fun.

EUIV - Early modern Era, War, Diplomacy, Exploration, Colonial ventures.

Imperator - Republican Rome / Ancient Word, War, less detailed pops, characters but still mainly a conquest map painter.

Vicky II - ~1830s-WWI, Economy and more detailed Pops, country management centered, gunboat diplomacy, a older title, Britain dominates as expected.

Stellaris - Sci Fi, War, Exploration, Diplomacy, strange aliens everywhere, 4X with a dollop of PDX style diplomacy and planetary management.

HoI IV - refight WWII, War with a large side of strategic country management.

CK2 - Medieval, Dynasty building, family, more detailed characters, intrigue, RPG elements, F2P base game, Game of Thrones mods!

Yah, basicly i'm trying to learn between ck2, eu4 and Hoi4 wich i think are more interesting. Even tho i got more like stellaris, imperator and idk if i'm missing one more. So, what idk is wich one to start with tbh, they all seem to be deep and hard.

Pick your poison, CK2 EUIV and Stellaris are great ways to start :) Although, Stellaris doesn't share much with the other titles.
HOI4 is surpisingly easy to get into as well :) But HoI 3 and Victoria:Rev/Victoria 2 are incredibly complex titles. But they are incredibly rewarding and awesome games once you get to know them.
CK2 focuses more on intruige and medieval politics, whilst EUIV is more conquest focused.

oh ok, thank you, i've tried to learn with ck2 but kinda lost in it, so i'm thinking on trying EU4 and i'm watching some tutorials about it before trying. I'm kinda lost about the interface of the games and the mechanics :S

New to paradox? Don't touch imperator!!! Paradox is WAAY better than this game. I say wait for crusader kings III, it's just 30 days away.

CK2 is free right now. So you can try that out without spending any money. CK3 will be out September 1, and if you like CK2 as a free game then it might be worth spending money on.

Europa Universalis 4 is the best game. HOI4 is bad, CK2 is a meme and what is a Vicky. Stellaris if you like space.

Which DLC's are essential for EUIV? Lots of these have bad reviews and some of them (China, India etc.) are rather for those interested into these nations right? Or will I miss out on important features when ignoring China/India/France DLCs?
