A mere 6 days later Phrygia, Macedon, Moesia, and 2 city state vassals Declare war on Sparta, all 5 of Sparta's allies join the defence. The hellenic world is plunged into chaos and desperate conflict.
A few years pass and Sparta has made little headway into Epirote territory, occupied instead with defence of its homeland against the titan that is Phrygia. The forces of Epirus however have remained largely occupied with defending against Dardanian forces and so have not managed to successfully launch any counter attack. Sparta holds all of Euboea; the territory Phrygia has laid claim to and successfully fought off several large invading Phrygian and Macedonian armies.
The warscore sits at +45 in favour of Sparta in the defensive war against Phrygia as the timer for being able to force a white peace counts down to zero... and yet, I cannot force the peace even if I do not select any options for me and my allies gaining land.
I decide to play on for a bit as things are going well.
*Narrator's voice* - Things were about to go very very bad
Several huge battles in quick succession decimated my manpower and the wars began to take a turn, if I could force the peace with Phrygia then me and my allies could without doubt still finish Epirus. However despite holding the entire province including enemy territories in the province I still could not force this peace.
Finally I lose a battle with my main force, now things get really bad, there is now no way for me to win these wars if they both continue, I still have +17 war score vs Phrygia and occupy all of Euboea, the reduction in war score comes from Macedon occupying all of Dardania and Phrygia holding most of Crete my other ally. But the white peace counter is lit up and in no uncertain terms says "War goal protected, more than 905 days have passed with province of Euboea fully defended, Sparta can now enforce a white peace!" and yet still they will not accept a peace treaty even if i do not try to take territory.
What am I not doing???
The only way i can get them to agree to peace is if i cede 5 territories to them.... which is not what I've fought so hard for. For now I've left that game until I get an answer because sod losing all the progress I've made.
