They charge for the content pack so they can continue to work on and offer the large sweeping improvements and changes to the base game.

Without charging for this, you wouldn't get all of the content and improvement that came free with the patch.

If you post something like this at least get your facts right, there is alot more then just some unit/port/model/missions added into this expansion.

And 8 euro for a expansion after they worked on it intensively for a year? What do you think the people working on games are living from, social security?

How do you expect a game to be continued with support for years to come? Dlc thats how. The developers have to eat too you know.

So people complain about Cosmetic + Mission dlc now?
Ravelli Mar 31, 2020 @ 7:18am
I could do with a good and complete game when I paid 40€ for it

@Surge @Naterator No Man sky, a crappy game at the beginning with a lot of free update, for each with ten times the content present in this DLC, hopefully it was not created by Paradox, with all the free stuff they added, this game would now cost a thousand dollar.Proof even a studio with less asset than Paradox can think to the player and not their own wallet.
We all know, if they wanted, this "DLC" could have been free without damaging the quality of their future game.
Paradox is now a EA style company, we should stop being blind, and stop defending what can't be defended, greediness. And it's hard for me to say that, i used to love Paradox.

Are you insane? No Man's Sky sold hundreds of thousands of units by release. The hype was unreal. They had plenty of cash to fix their over-hyped mess.

"We all know" should be replaced by "i believe" to be really accurate statement.

Could someone clarify for me why you expect free content updates in a game that doesn't have microtransactions or subscriptions?
CoW_HuMPeR Mar 31, 2020 @ 9:13am
better off to change your VPN to canada and buy it. Only 8 Canadian dollars which is like 5 Euros.

From what i could find No Man Sky sold around 2.5 Million pc and 4 million playstation copies. Imperator Rome somewhere between 200.00 and 400.000. You really want to compare this?

Well, as the big bunch of low quality DLC they already sold didn't avoid this blank game, and the bigger improve Imperator knew was free. Believe is surely not the right word. I will not buy one of their booby catcher one more time. Tell me, is this DLC is worth the price ?
Because for less than 3 times the price i've a complete game like Kenshi. I can't believe people still defend Paradox policy. And if people continue to fall in their trap, they will continue to milk the consumer.

Sorry for my english, it's not my mother tongue.

First a lot of copy have been refund, second, Imperator is not their only game. And i don't talk about the long list of DLC they sold. So yes Paradox is probably a bigger fish (+-40 millions copies sold, DLC not include).
