Alliance Call to arms is bugged and comepletely broken.
With the recent patch Ive been introduced to a rather game breaking bug, when you declare an offensive war and try to call in your allies (when they have check-marks besides them on the war declaration screen, and have checked the boxes next to them to call them into the war) It will straight up not do anything and you'll be forced to have to manually call them to arms using the diplomacy screen. I've had situations where I have 3+ allies say they'll help me in a war and then I declare and Im fighting 4v1 against me, and I cant call them in due to the warscore being zero since I just declared it.

This is absolutely ridiculous and makes playing anything other then the major powers impossible due to how alliances work, especially now since a one province minor faction can ally the sellucids or phrygia, (and this always happens cuz the AI cheats and gets bonus's to diplomacy)

I know that this patch was all about rome and carthage and thier vassal spams, but people play other factions than just those two. This is ridiculous, it makes playing small factions next to impossible.

I agree. Game is unplayable now.

I'm going to bump this. I cannot believe this is not a bigger issue and people are not talking about it. How the hell can anybody play this game with your allies not going to war with you? Serious question.
cifrelettere 2019 年 12 月 5 日 下午 6:16
Paradox is aware of the issue but apparently they aren't aware that this makes the game totally unplayable for 95% of the tags in the game.

This needs to be hotfixed ASAP, but given Paradox's history of botched version control leading to sloppy releases -- like the release that somehow broke call to arms to begin with -- I'm not surprised that they're hesitant. And somehow trade request spam is still happening too. I can only imagine what the codebase looks like :shudder:.

If you can manage to find an ally that has a target modifier against the nation you declared war upon, you can usually call them to arms even when you start off 1v3 or 1v4 after the initial war declaration - after that the rest of your allies should then accept a call to arms as well as the war balance tends to cancel itself out.

Hopefully that can help as a temporary workaround in the meantime though it will require strategic planning. Be prepared to drop and establish several alliances to make the most of it, as well lol.

tbh its a bit annoying but just pause game call them in manually. Its not that big of a deal. If you cant win with small factions against ai your probably just not good enough at the game

You don't know what you are talking about. You can't just "Call them to arms". Even if they are willing to go to war when you initiate war in the declare war menu, that doesn't mean they are going to accept your call to arms after initiation. If you knew anything about the game you would know that. Ironic you're telling people they aren't good at the game and you don't even understand the mechanics. Don't be a douche.

The dumbest thing about allies imo is this:

When you hover over call to arms it says "-1000 no access"
But then when you want to give them access it says "-100 not at war"

:ujel::ujel::ujel: problem?

that's actually true which is sooo stupid considering in EUIV you just call them from the war screen directly. So dumb.

It gives you the option to call them directly from the war screen. But its bugged and it just does not work. :(
